help- how to know if link is to be trusted?

Hello there, just trying to figure out if anyone familiar with dark web/net is able to help me in underding how to verify if sites are legit before losing everything to them potentially.

If it ends in .onion is it true there's a higher chance it isn't a scam? I've downloaded the Tor app for my phone to be able to access certain sites.

Looking at links based off articles like this one:

Marketplaces might be legit, but there's no guarantee the products/sellers will be, especially with a cheap/free vendor fee. That's the risk you take really

Fentanyl. For IV injection. Work in vet med and slowly taking the unused remnants to save up for the 3mg I'm shooting for total (have read that 2mg is the lethak dose but I want to make absolutely certain and am going for 3mg instead, never used opiatea before so should work I presume). Our concentration is 50mcg/ml so 60ml total I'd need. Can place an IV catheter at home and have a suringe pump to push it all in a set amount of time for me since I'll have passed out from it.
Of course it's be great to find an actual mcg/ml fentanyl medical grade/actual assured dosing injevtable bottle, but I dount I'll be able to find that right? Even from Mexico or somewhere it's manufactured for the medical field? Have no idea how to even look for a site like that on DW.

This one lists all the ones with vendor fees, but up to like $750, surely not that high to be legit right? What would be too low/suspicious of a fake or unreliable site?

I'll just say now that fentanyl itself is pretty difficult to find on any market. It's banned from most major markets. You can roll the dice with some laced 30s but there's not telling how much fent is in those.

Also use tor.taxi or dark.fail for official links. Check their pgp to verify you are on a legit market before depositing funds. There's a lot of phishing links going around.

So I read through that entire site you linked, and did some of my own research, and I've come to the conclusion that there's really no way to guarantee anything.

If your starting point is to find a marketplace that is real and legit, I would look for one that offers as much security as possible, offers escrow, and has been going for a decent about of time. An element of vendor transparency such as reviews etc is always a bonus too. In terms of vendor fee, a higher fee and/or a stricter process of registering to sell on a specific marketplace simply adds an extra layer of security in terms of not just letting anyone and everyone sign up. A low or non existent vendor fee doesn't necessarily mean scam, especially if it's a newer site, but letting anyone join does open up that risk a little bit.

But with all of that being said - even if a marketplace or seller is legit, you're still taking a significant risk. Some of those on that list that now read 'scammer' or 'exit scam' were once some of the biggest and most trusted marketplaces on there. There was one, that had a major focus on vendor transparency and overall security and had been up for a good few years with a great reputation. As soon as the feds started sniffing around, they wired off all the money including that in escrow and disappeared. Unfortunately, exit scam is the safest (and most obvious) way out and the bigger the marketplace, the more likely (i would think) that is to happen.

1. Not sure what pgp is but I tried to read up on how to check it and oh my. That is a lot of tech savvy seeming skills needed it seems! But I did try the Tor taxi and dark fail links you said for official market links and it was helpful, and seems to list pgp signatures as verification so perhaps this is what you meant?

2. Using the the Tor.taxi link I found archetyp marketplace and set up an account. I found product labeled china white which I've read is supposed to mean fentanyl. Going to buy a gram for 70.59€ as the lowest amount available since I only need 3mg to od.

However, when I click the find/wallet tab on my account to try and figure out how to load money on this to pay for the order, it is not straight forward seeming.... it says:

"Your XMR wallet holds your digital market funds. You pay products and receive money with it." Then below that statement, it says:
"XMR Wallet address" followed by a box with a long mix of numbers and letters.
Then it says:
"Make sure to copy the full address and only send XMR!"

So. I am unsure of what to do with this. When I tried looking up what is XMR I read a site explaining Monero but their site doesn't seem to let me create an account or anything, so I assume Monero is involved with XMR but I don't get it. What do I need to do to load XMR onto this wallet tab in the archetyp account?

Again sorry for being so clueless and maybe a little dumb with all this if it's somehow obvious how to figure it out. I'm good with non tech things I swear. Any help greatly appreciated!

Always use dark.fail to get your onion links from. Their links are legit and I have bought many things from several markets. Once you register and log in some sites give you a personal link to log straight in. I buy weed, xanax, changa, LSD with no bother. Even during the recent postal strikes everything has arrived and I've never been ripped off to date. Vendors are trying to build up a good rapport with buyers so good feedback is important to them.

It's worth mentioning that I did actually see powdered N for sale on one of the markets I've bought from. I am not going to give any more details of where it was, but it's definitely out there with a vendor who sells all sorts of hard drugs and has decent feedback for those.

Gonna answer your questions pretty much how you formatted it.

1. Yea the PGP signatures is what I meant. Just make sure the links are verified with the listed signatures. They should be if you got the links from tor.taxi or dark.fail.

XMR is an untraceable crypto unlike Bitcoin. So what you wanna do is download an XMR wallet on your computer like monero GUI. You'll purchase your Bitcoin on whatever, cash app, PayPal, etc. exchange your Bitcoin on a market exchange like changenow.io. Copy your GUI wallet code to that site so it sends it to your wallet. Send xmr from your wallet to the marketplace address then.

Also some vendors use pgp encryption for messages. If you run into that download kleopatra and create a key for yourself.

Yea should be. On cash app there should be a little square to tap in the upper right for the QR code. Should be a QR code on the changenow site after you complete the order.
