Facing Death on Your Own Terms - A Story of Pain, Choice, and Love
It was about a man who was 50 years old, and suffered from degenerative neck and back pain. He said he liked life ok, but he hated being in his body due to the pain. Anyway, he told all the people in his life what he planned to do. Had many discussions with them, including with is sister, and other relatives. Everyone was upset, they all tried to stop him, but he was so open about it from the beginning. he lived alone, and none of them turned him over to the hospital or anything like that. He had the book "final exit" which outlined different ways to ctb. He seemed to have chosen the helium method, or at least that is the method he discussed. Anyway, he told everyone when he does it, a particular goodbye post would be on his blog page. And in about a years time he did it. I respect and ENVY his ability to discuss it before hand to prepare people, but that is so unrealistic for 99.9% of us! Anyway it's worth a watch if anyone is interested.
