If you want to die I don't think the taste will be the thing that should worry you much.

I'm going to throw a massive caution flag up with that story. It's going to become the next 'SN makes you go blind' thing. Here's how I see it. You pay $800. You wait a long time with fingers crossed hoping it gets through the post and customs, it arrives and you set your date, got everything logistically sorted that needs to be done. Then you open the bottle, take a swig and go "oh, its tastes like poo!" and then leave it. There is something in that story we don't know.

I did think so too plus leaving it for his dog to have on his bed was a bit daft. As soon as the dog had ingested it he should have gone to the vets. I know I would just incase. He's now got a dead dog in his freezer. Does sound a tad far fetched but stranger things have happened.

There are two things I noticed with this account, if I remember correctly. (Firstly, I am sorry that he went through this.)

One is the lack of either meto or a long regime, not sure which. The other is impulsive behaviour following the attempt. If there is difficulty with impulse control, it is not surprising that the bitter taste and lack of proper AE regime can lead to an abortion.

If there is risk of any such difficulties, it is best to address them before an attempt.

Dogs don't really have the hands to lift a bottle to their mouth or enjoy the taste of bitter things.
Now if was a parrot in a Monty Python sketch I would have been completely sold

I dont think the taste has much to do with it if I am honest in my opinion. Its much more likely to be the finality that comes with drinking it all that is going to put a few people off. From what I have read, once you drink the required amount of that stuff, there is no going back unless you happen to be next to or in a hospital. Which of course for our purposes, is what you want.

Personally, I cant fully understand all the anti emetic stuff. You pay a small fortune to get your poison [sic] the last thing you want is to puke most of it back up. But for me, its all a little overkill. I know the cocktail I took 3 years ago should have made me throw up like a good un, but it all stayed in. Yeah it tasted like shit, but it did the trick.

I know and understand its easy to see some of these posts as spurious, but often, its people who are scared, backed into a corner by life and circumstance and are like rabbits in the headlights. This is a scary place when you first arrive. What you are looking for is scary subject matter. So try to show as much empathy as possible, with a dash of sympathy and a sprinkling of compassion until such time as you are 100% certain about something not being quite right about someone.

I think you are right @SinisterKid . I was a tad overzealous in most of my response, I should have just summarised it to 'there's more to this story than we know'. It was, by the looks of it now a failed attempt by me to give balance to a potential new factoid that N is too bitter for human consumption along the same lines that I even saw today that SN makes you blind from a relatively new user. My target was about defending the method primarily, but probably got lost in the wash.

I never wrote SN makes you blind. I was just making sure and asking about it because I read someone did wrote that.

Again, I am being really clumsy with my wording tonight so perhaps I need to put some oven gloves on and stop typing. The fact that you raised the question about blindness means its still in peoples' consciousness. I have also seen people (not you) write that they won't do SN because it makes you go blind.

Regardless the genuinity of that botched attempt story or not, but the bitter taste can be a real challenge here. anti emetics deal with vomiting, which mainly is a gastric reflex, while resisting the bitter taste is a Gustatory Sensory Reflex issue. I have no medical experience but i think both reflexes are completely different hence required different types of treatment. So counting only on anti emetics to not throwing up is not always working as it supposed to be.

That's a good point. I know the answer is no otherwise places like Dignitas would be doing it already to make the consumption easier. But you would imagine a clever chemist would be able to find a flavoured syrup that would neutralise that bitterness as they do with children's' medicine.

No it is bad to mix with any other liquid. I precisely asked about that to reliable sources'medical sources) and it can weaken the product

Yes someone else here mixed N w/orange juice & failed.
Really? Pph and others say to mix with juice.

That says mix w/juice for Secobarbitol pills, not liquid N.

He emptied both bottles in a vodka glass. He said he drank some of it, was too bitter and awful tasting, threw up. He then stated that he was in and out of consciousness for the next hours. He had no state of mind to put the vodka glass away and his dog consumed it.

Personally I believe the story. I purchased N and have experimented with it in small doses. The taste is really terrible, and I am unsure if I would be able to consume enough to do the job; unless there is a way to mask the taste. Just my 2 cents

My plan is to chug it like a shot of tequila.

Again, just like a broken record: A very strong mouthwash such as Botot has been suggested. It numbs the tongue, making it difficult to taste anything. Strong whiskey might have the same effect. Don't recall the ppeh suggesting to mix it with juice – would just be more to drink (if it's the liquid N). People can also hold their noses while they drink it. This is something kids used to do when they had to eat or drink something they didn't like. Many eat a chocolate peppermint patty after the N, and some practice beforehand by drinking all sorts of bitter things.

Six people who were ill were successful in taking the N, both powder and liquid. Their passing was proven by their obits. One said, "That wasn't so bad." Another said, "It smells like gasoline" but drank it anyway. Another had trouble getting it down because she didn't mix the powder well enough, but she managed because she was determined. She went to sleep in about 3 minutes and stopped breathing in 40. None of them let the fear of the taste discourage them. Those who are fortunate enough to acquire the N have the most simple and peaceful method possible – unless Nitschke's Sarco is someday available for use :)

It's just my opinion but after reading some posts here and there I definitely think that some people with an agenda or maybe just bored are trying to scare people by any means available. Failures, vomiting, blah blah blah. Stick to the facts, pentobarbital works. Take a look at the statistics of Exit/Dignitas etc...no failure, if there had been even only one it would have been known for a long time. Just follow the instructions and don't overthink it, don't mix it, don't add some I don't know what, just follow the instructions. If an 80 years old granmother can take it with a smile on her face why couldn't you ?

This says it all. Not one as failed in Dignitas
This is my method and I will sip at it while eating chocolate and a baileys with ice.

To all those that say the taste is awful then imagine what us women go through and men when giving a blow job! Now that tastes awful!

I'm sorry if this is a bit insensitive, but if you really want to die, why would something such as the taste be that concerning? Not attacking you OP, but I see this fear a lot around the fourm and it's never made any sense to me. I can see why in the case of, will I be able to keep this down, but compared to the pain and discomfort you will experience with your other options it seems like a good trade off. Plus there's lots of ways to help get through the taste.

Get somone that washes their dick?
No one said it was a fear? No one is afraid the taste lol. But if you spend a thousand dollars on something, unless you know what it tastes like, no one here has any room to talk. It's just a bitter taste but a chemical they put in there to deter you from drinking it, so obviously everyone should be worried they might puke and fuck up their one shot if they are literally spending all their money for one chance to end it.

Practice drinking bitter things and chugging liquids swiftly. (If you sip the N, you could fall asleep before you finish it.) Get a strong mouth wash, (don't dilute it, hold in your mouth until your nose runs and your eyes water) when your tongue is numb, hold your nose, drink quickly, eat a peppermint patty and enjoy a peaceful sleep!
