Discussion Has anyone else lost their soulmate

Title.

(Gentlely and respectfully, Please no placates about finding someone new, for better or worse that's not a huge problem for me or anything!)

I just want to know if anyone else feels like they've lost the love of their life, their soulmate, twin flame or what have you in life? Are you with someone now but always have this aching feeling that there's that one that got away?

I've been talking to a lovely lady for a while who is so sweet and puts so much effort and energy into me and even asked me out on a date but I kinda feel like I'm ultimately just using people by letting them get close to me because I can't truly and fully recipocate even though I'd like to. If i could forget my soulmate and go back to how I was I would!

There's been people before them, people after. It's just not the same anymore. I guess this is just how life is until I ctb.

i have. it's painful, and i've honestly decided to avoid dating. i wish i could just forget it, but i can't. it's painful beyond words, knowing he doesn't even consider me his soulmate. i honestly don't have a lot of advice for you, it'll be hard to get over and you never really will. but eventually you'll find someone you can try with.
