Has anybody here (that you know of) successfully ctb'd via train?

And in order to know this, I assume the deceased would be written up in the news.

Don't misunderstand me—I'm not looking for names, because I think anonymity is important even after one's passing. But rather if you know of anyone who successfully ctb'd via train, I'd like to read up and past threads of the deceased—to find out if he or she left any final thoughts on specific means of how they were going to go about it. This question may be impossible to answer.

I lived in a city with an underground light rail system. Every couple years somebody would jump off one part, were it came out of a tunnel. that city has a hard time finding drivers even at 40 an hour haha.

All i can really suggest is leave the note at home. if its in your pocket it can get destroyed. And if its a passenger train, remember that the driver will see, but they slam on the breaks and that can send people lurching forward. everyone on the train will know why its stopped and cant be moved for an extended period of time stuck half into a tunnel. And big cargo trains don't stop as easy.

I think there was also a video of inside a train where supposedly they knew that it struck a person on the track with they're reactions.

You can find a video of anything if you know where to look.

They announce it(Sort of, they just say they hit something on the tracks and everybody knows if its in a dark tunnel or that one spot what happened. when they hit Deer or other wild life we move in a couple minutes because they just pull the animal off and maintenance fixes it once the train is down town) in the city i was in. Its a straight track so it froze all trains and mine was 4-5 trains behind one. Lucky i was on my way to work and got to go home instead. Could just get out and hop on a bus.

I have long thought about this method of suicide, especially since I live in Germany and there are trains everywhere. I came across an article in German with tons of statistics about the rate of mortality and such. The thing that stuck out to me and dissuaded me from this method of suicide was the effect on the train driver. Train drivers who experience someone leaping out in front of them onto the tracks and being run over are scarred emotionally for the rest of their lives, and some are no longer able to work, and spiral into depression and anxiety themselves. As much as I have fantasized about suicide, I don't want to harm another human being that way. I would advise a different route honestly. It's not a sure fire method of suicide, and you could end up extremely disfigured and incapacitated which is not what I would want.

I don't personally know of anyone who has CTB this way however I did used to have a very good friend who was a train driver and had this happen. It completely ruined him.

I have considered how I would CTB many times and this often came up in my head but in reality, I don't think I could bring myself to do that to someone. I know that it's likely we'll all inevitably hurt someone when we CTB but I couldn't bring myself to pass on a life of misery to someone just trying to do their job because of my meat confetti. Many news articles about it.

Jesus Christ....vivid. But you have a point—serves me right for asking. I'm no doctor nor forensic investigator, but the aftermath photo looks fake. Even if the photo is fake, it is a reminder that ctb via train means that one's corpse gets in the news and on a gore site.

Been a dog's age since I've seen this. Yup, she's definitely dead. Apparently it was some challenge but others say it was relationship problems. Scary stuff.

Although he was not a member at ss, the ctb of Adolf Merkel comes to mind. He was a famous billionaire who was in the pharmaceutical industry and had the easy connections to acquire N and anything else, yet took his life via train.

I have first hand, direct experience of this. My grandfather killed himself by deliberately stepping in front of a train.
Honestly it was a horricif event that brought peace to him (although he was virtually unrecognisable after the incident) but serious distress to many others.
I don't blame him for what he did, he was in a terrible pain. It was just sad for all involved (perhaps except him ironically).
