Hey! So I've decided a method (hanging) and just had some questions :D

What rope should I buy? I'm trying to find one online but there's so many so idk lol

Also is this tutorial accurate?

If not is there one that is?

I kinda wanna hang myself from a tree, there's a place where I can do that and not be found for a while, would that work? Idk how I'd figure that out tbh I'm gonna go there today and try to figure out a place though. It's like this woodsy area by an abandoned park, I go there almost everyday for hours it's my favorite place I love it sm. I could also hang myself from the swings but once again idk if I could even do that lol.

And how do I make sure that the rope gets on the right part of my neck?

Thanksss!!!! 🩷🩷🩷 :D

It looks you've found a nice spot to rest your soul, I have one too where I used to go every day, it was an abandoned truck deposit, now reclaimed by nature, full of trees to use, very peaceful especially during winter months, with everything hidden by the fog.

For what I understood, it's better to get a 12mm polypropylene rope. There are many for sale online.
Try to get one of those folding stool, so you can carry it in you pocket, at least this is what I would do.

For more info look at the hanging mega thread!

Good luck mate. 💚

What makes 12mm Polypropylene better compared to 10mm Polyester rope?

Well I'm no expert. Otherwise I wouldn't be here 😂.
But on the mega thread, someone was talking about more comfort on the neck with a slightly thicker rope.

But man, you know better than me that at the end, if you are committed enough it'll not matter so much.
Those details I think are just chitchats for us who are trying to gather some courage, or to finally let go, and give up to that well known despair sensation, that will lead you to the act of leaving everything and everyone behind.

Thicker rope is slightly more comfortable but also (by a very small margin, I'm talking seconds if not less) slower at inducing LOC. Also thicker ropes can hold more weight but both 12mm and 10mm could probably hold your weight.

The breaking strength is usually in the thousands, i don't see why it would be an issue.

People usually recommend using a noose knot not a hangman's knot:

I wouldn't hang myself in a public place. Like that's just simply my belief, because anyone could just randomly appear in places like those. However if you feel absolutely confident you won't be found in 30-60 minutes, you can give it a try. Just be careful and check whether the tree branch is strong enough to hold your bodyweight.

Exactly, that's why I said it can probably hold your weight.

12mm double braided dock line.
Smooth supple and strong. Holds knots well.
