I was looking up another source and alot of people say full suspension isn't quick. Can't take up to 30 mins or longer all while suffocating. So what is it? A couple sec to a min or two or much longer?

Just to confirm 10 to 20 sec? I was thinking maybe try taking a heavy dose of sleeping pills. When I knock out I'll just fall down. Would a self standing pull up bar be OK for this? It's 7 ft tall and I'm 5 ft.

If you do it correctly, you loose consciousness within few seconds. It takes longer until you're dead, but you don't feel anything of that

Thanks for clarifying. When you say do correctly what do you mean exactly? I know it can fail if your anchor doesn't holed or if ligature tears. Anything else.

Also, if you place the knot wrong, you might suffocate slowly. I've tested it by just tying the noose around my neck and tightening it, without hanging. When I placed it on the left side of my chin, I started feeling dizzy after a short time, so I guess that's my spot

To be clear when you die by hanging it's not by asphyxiation but by cerebral hypoxia Lack of oxygen to the brain. You go unconscious in seconds and your body may go into convulsions but you are not conscious

I read a couple of medical studies that times various body moments during videotaped hanging steamed on video. Most were unconscious within 10 seconds the longest being 15 seconds

If full suspension hanging was this horrid experience taking nearly a half hour to simply pass out, don't you think that fact would be known to everyone?

I understand people closer to the edge will panic more and review information less. If you see fantactic comments like that, follow your first instinct and question it.

I agree with you. I wish people would suggest it's a legitimate way to CTB. Yes it would be embarrassing to be found like that. But who is embarrassed when you are dead.

In the past I was a practitioner of it. And many times I just about said - go all the way and it will be over. Even SI kicks in those moments

I still think it maybe the way I end it

There are a couple of videos out there where you know it will not end well. They had to know this and pushed the envelope to its limits. For them it was a method.
In this situation is can be about both the journey AND the destination.
