How do you fight off the survival instinct? Is there a way to compress the carotid artery without the panic mode activating so you can just faint?

She went in knowing she wouldn't die. I mean, I'm pretty sure she still had some reservations... but I was fine doing something similar when I was younger. You'd sit for a few minutes and then stand real fast, someone then immediately rear naked chokes ya. Or something like that. The pass out challenge I believe it was
