So for the next 2 weeks, this will be the temperature at night. At first I thought I'd simply dress adequately but someone mentioned it could affect the rope. I just realized that it could worsen the rope burn too and make the process more painful?
I'm not sure if it'll affect how hard it'll be secure a proper anchor point with the tree. I have no clue. Last time I went in the woods it was cold but not this cold.
Additionally,I feel like using a fallen tree as an anchor point could easily backfire,especially with snow & ice + death spasms, it'd likely lead me to slide down to the bottom.
99% of trees on the regional park's trails aren't suitable for hanging. I did find less than 4 on the closed trail that were properly shaped to be used as an anchor point, I'll try to find the one I had picked last time.
All the trees that'd be perfect are in places everybody can see. Last time I stood around them around midnight, there'd be someone passing every 10-15 minutes at least so that's unsafe.
I'll have to settle for the closed trails with the shitty trees.
Although an easier choice would be some kind of park at night with stuff with monkey bars that are very isolated. But that's a bit morbid and I don't know if such places.
I maxed my 6k credit card, don't even have enough to buy a public transport pass to go to class next month so getting a motel isn't an option either.
Idk if there's a mega thread on hanging in public places? The tree in my backyard is ideal but it would count as suicide on the property and devalue the house by 25%, my dad plans to sell it soon so that's a no-go
