Hanging or SN - UK

Deciding between hanging or SN, I live in the UK and am unsure about how to get SN here. I have access to benzos and alcohol.

SN is what I currently have should my life not improve.

I've heard both reassuring and concerning accounts of SN attempts.

I haven't looked much into hanging but the physical aspect of it is more scary to me. Not to mention the risk of serious damage should something go wrong

You need to do it right for it to be peaceful right? Are there any worries if you mess up the technique.

Although I guess similarly with SN, reactions of people who took SN vary quite a bit.

Peacefulness in terms of anxiety as well. Hanging would require physically harming yourself. Whereas SN is just a bad tasting drink. Although it could be debated whether that 5-20 minutes before you pass out from SN is worse than the (ideally) 10-20 seconds from hanging.

Sigh… if only we were in a place where we felt like we didn't have to make this decision

Both would be fine for me, but I have chosen hanging. The vomiting with SN sounds more unpleasant than hanging. I'm not afraid of a few seconds of pain and it sounds better than dying with nausea and vomiting. I dont like being on some list of people that ordered SN, the possibility of customs getting it, possibility of welfare check. I feel resolute that I can just step off the ladder without SI stopping me, but i suppose i have yet to get to that point so i can't be certain. I am afraid of surviving an attempt with injury but ill do it in a very isolated location so i expect that death will be essentially certain; even if in the worst case of making a mistake it would just take some time. It is some comfort to me that very, very many people have died from hanging and it is still one of the most common methods, so surely it is a reasonable way to go...

I can't access it because I live with strict parents who won't let me do anything on my own

I'm not going to say anything to suggest one method over another or encourage people to choose one.

I'm unsure if I am allowed to link the article in question because it uses DMC's real name, but in March the BBC reported that "at least 130 UK deaths" have been linked to SN.

I plan to hang. If you watch the videos, most of the time, people pass out very quickly. I also read a medical journal article that timed various segments. They mentioned the most significant number of people were unconscious in about 10 seconds

When I was a teenager, I made a serious attempt. I blacked out with the towels around my neck, freely hanging. I woke up and found myself on the floor with a really bad bump to the head. The towels failed to hold the knot.

To be honest I don't remember any pain - just discomfort because I could not inhale or exhale - my lungs were frozen. I only felt lightheaded and a loud buzzing sound in my ears and warmth and then heat behind my eyes

My preference is still an accompanied suicide at The Last Resort, but hanging would be my choice if it has to be a DIY death.

I'll be choosing hanging when/if I commit.

Reading the SN accounts, some seem peaceful but others don't seem to get so lucky. And I intensely hate vomiting.

I've watched videos of hangings and I think I would prefer the effects I see and hear about with it than SN

Hanging is attainable without complicated ingredients or purchases.
If done well, you pass out quickly. After that, gravity and time finish the task.
