I cannot believe people actually like hairdryer sounds. I certainly do not. Overall, I do not like noise very much, noise can be torture. It does not relax me. The only time I would actually listen to a hairdryer is when I have to dry my hair which is a task I hate as it takes a long time because I have long hair.

Use asmr videos on You Tube with good headphones if sound is main chilling factor for you. You will find plenty videos with hairdrayer sound It will be much cheaper than using the real one. If heat is also the factor than it can be difficult to replace a real expierience.

Its just called "white noise", it means like a boring, regular sound that you can relax to. Like ocean waves on the beach, or the humming of machinery. Sometimes complete silence is painful, so we put on something that makes white noise to ease the pain.
I've used a hair dryer to relax for years now. It's the heat and the sound combined that are relaxing. Really doesn't increase the electric bill much either as one would think.
