I've got access to both and I'm leaning more towards SN but I'm worried with some of the things I've read about it. I don't wanna feel I'm suffocating/drowning for a few minutes until i go unconscious. I've decided I'd just keep the gun loaded next to me after taking it and if it gets too unbearable I'd just pull the trigger. Then again I'm also worried of the slight possibility I'm unable to pull the trigger and don't end up succeeding with SN and being found with the gun and having my only other method taken from me.

:Fyi: I'm not planing to go just yet I'm still trying my best to change my current situation but if things don't turn out how I'd like them too within the next year or two this will indeed happen. I'm just trying to go over scenarios in my head so I don't mess up that's all.

I would say both. If you vomit and think it's going to fail -> gun. I think pain and fear of failure is a great motivator to suppress SI.

If you're trying to make things better, that's more than half the battle, I think. A lot of us have given up on trying to make things better because we have tried and things have only gotten worse. As far as SN or a gun, I'd probably just use a gun, but only in the mouth and through the back of my head.

Depends on the gun. If it's a weak calibre like .22 or .25 then SN might actually be better.
I would do both just in case, no matter the calibre.

i'd go for SN just cause IMO it's easier to drink something that'll kill you eventually than pull the trigger on something that'll kill you right away, but that's just my own preference.

if you stack em, i'd probably do it as the SN being backup for the gun (take before shooting urself) rather than the other way around, since 1) the gun has a higher success rate and 2) if you barely survive fucking up the gunshot, the SN in your system would take you out real quick. while if you do it the other way around, waiting out the SN to decide if you wanna use the gun, you're aiming the gun while nauseous, racing heart, weak legs etc, and potentially fucking up the angle. idk if your hands would be shaking that much, but still a thought.

I guess that after all when it comes to methods it's a personal preference, those who have access to both of them certainly are fortunate, at least you have the choice. But anyway, best of luck.

I can handle the vomiting and other stuff but I just don't wanna feel like I'm drowning for 5+ mins. If t's really that bad though that'll be a motivator to pull the trigger as you said which makes sense if you think about it.

I'm hoping for the best still in my situation I just wanna be fully prepared and go over all the possible outcomes first in case it comes down to the worst. I do feel fortunate to have access to these as it helps knowing I can go whenever.

I get what you mean. I'm not planning to live out my life entirely by any means I just have a few things on my bucket list I'd like to cross off first which will take some time. Ideally I'd have done everything within the next 5 years and then I can go if i still feel this way knowing I did everything I wanted and tried my best to get better. As far as the method goes I've tried a few times to pull the trigger and I always freeze up. I've got a compact pistol so in the mouth wouldn't work I plan to go the behind the ear route if I don't use SN by itself.

Good point. I'm not sure how steady I could get the placement once the effects start to come on. I'm sure with enough willpower I could manage but I wouldn't wanna mess up cause I know for a fact if you miss the brain stem you'll feel the pain for at least a few seconds till you bleed out.

If it comes down to it I'll most likely take the SN first and then use the gun if I can't handle the effects. As far as caliber goes I've got a 9mm with +p+ ammo that reaches 1530ish FPS and puts out roughly 480 foot pounds of kinetic energy which is more then enough in my opinion but aim means everything with a gun and if you don't hit the brain stem you'll feel it which scares me from that method.
