Ok so basically I was going through a closet in the room I'm staying in with my younger brother at my grandmas house for a family "vacation" (it sucks here) and I saw a peculiar shaped soft case. My mind first thought it was either a gun, or gold clubs. I opened the case slightly and felt the butt end of a rifle, so for the past week or more I've known it was there, but never really had the guts to touch it.

Today that changed. My brother decided to sleep in another room for tonight, meaning this room was just me. I figured it's my last day here and my last chance to do anything with this so I took it out of the closet and held it. My heart was racing just holding it, well, until I realised that it had no ammo. This is the only chance I have and it's screwed up for the stupidest reason. I'm literally going to go back to an area of the world that's known for having hardly any guns, and being 100% flat, so unless I want to risk permanent side effects, I don't have many options. I also don't think I can source SN with my current situation, maybe if I move out. :/

This is a random vent so you don't have to reply, I just find it ironic that when I finally get the guts to ctb, I have no ammo.

Maybe make a plan to visit soon, and educate yourself on guns in the meantime

Can you get ammo?

Not all places will sell you ammo without a background check. Where I'm from they'll need to check your entire record for anything including mental health record. Some other states probably don't do that but mine does apparently.

My records should all be fine, I've never been formally diagnosed with anything, nor am I a criminal.

Yeah, that would traumatize them probably, but I wouldn't have to deal with their abuse anymore, just existing causes me pain. The only reason I'm here right now is because I didn't have ammo, and because of my mom I suppose.

I also want to move out yeah, but idk if I have the financial means to do so, and if I don't find a job in a week within getting back my family is probably going to say I'm a lazy failure. I could maybe get an apartment for a bit but then what, if I buy a car I'll have absolutely nothing left, and I have no job right now.

It's just stressful that they don't consider any of this and expect me to be such a shining star when they treat me like a piece of shit.
