For all the young autists that are worried about looking off, this is how it went:

This was a sports store, so I got ammo and safe from the front section, then had to walk to the back for the gun. Lady in ammo section was nice and pointed out where gun counter was.

Guy at gun counter had another customer first, so had to wait a bit. After the guy got to me he asked what I needed (I said I had a pick up order off line for [Name]). He found gun and looked it over for me. Had me fill out the form online. Just had basic questions like "Will you use this in a felony?", "Do you have DV orders or charges against you?" etc. Pretty straightforward. Also asked for address/town/etc.

Manager double checked serial numbers matched and stuff. Went to different counter for check out (paid online already, so this was quick). Then was able to walk out.

No questions about what it's for, my age, appearance, etc. Whole thing took about 45 min. Got gun, ammo (normal and +P), safe in case it's not used immediately. This is in a very red state with fast and loose gun laws.

Now just to get over the paranoia that I'll fail in offing myself. It's a tiny little snub nose revolver but is still heavier than expected. I'll figure it out. 38 special 2in. B]

Nice, gun would be my number 1 method if I would have access to firearms.

I think I said it before that a .38 wouldn't be my first choice, but, putting that aside, intraoral is the way to go, imo, anyway. Good luck and peace.

Same, gun would be my #1 method, it seems like paradise to have access to a gun. If I had one it would be bliss knowing my death is sure and quick.

Was gonna do this in my room but don't want to risk my brother finding me (15yo so not super young, but would still be traumatizing) if he comes investigating after hearing the shot, even if I block my door. The back seats in my car fold down. Maybe I'll lay in the back of my car, or halfway in the trunk to be partially out of view? Send a scheduled text? Never fired guns before either, so if it misfires and disfigures me I don't want him to see that either sooo. If I don't have my keys I can't be charged w DUI especially if not up front...hm.

That must be very relieving and also comfortable knowing you have the means to exit suffering in an instant, and yes, I would say make sure you are well prepared and there is no such thing as being too careful, after all you only literally and figuratively have one shot so make sure it counts. I hope you find the long awaited peace you are seeking for.

Thank you. I plan on being kinda drunk both due to SI and as a blood thinner, and will probably have (not medical strength, sadly) meds in my system to hopefully keep me calm. I do have prescription benzonatate and the prescription and nausea med that starts with O, but don't know if I'll break into those or not. We'll see.

Can you leave and park somewhere else when you do it? I counseled a 15yo who found his dad's body after ctb and... I can't explain what it was like hearing him tell the story. He remembered *every* minute detail of that day. Just please don't expose a 15yo to that.

I'm going to kinda awkwardly hide in the trunk. He wakes up late and I'm going to schedule a text to a coworker (maybe even two of them) who work nights to call 911 like an hour after my attempt.
