20231113 221723 mofo tells you to "take a walk" "listen to music" like thsts gonna help anything. Most of us are under structural and economic oppression ffs that shit won't hell nobody.

Not surprised as the culture right now is to throw the 988 number if anyone cries "suicidal"

I mean. Google is the exact same as what therapists say anyways XD. Just therapists you pay half your paycheck to go see for them to tell you the same thing.

Or worse, both?

I would walk but i live in a ghetto . I would get offered drugs, smell marihuana every corner i walk, hear gunshots people fighting or be killed or raped/robbed or maybe trafficked. When will society understand not everyone has the same freedom or privileges. Therapists and google are trash.

Those methods are more in-line with temporary depression, but they can still help with handling impulsive desires to CTB.
When someone tells me to "just breathe deep" when I'm emotional, I want to tell them off, but after doing it--it really does relax me.
There are cognitive and behavioral actions we can do that are scienftifically proven to help us.

Obviously, everyone has their own specific issues and general methods like this cannot resolve very chronic/severe cases.
Trying things once doesn't hurt to know if it does or doesn't work for you.

I hate how we exist in such a pro-suffering, anti-suicide society where suicidal people just get insensitive toxic positivity pushed onto them. It's so cruel how suicide isn't accepted as a valid option despite all the suffering existing causes.

Pretty much.

I have temporary depression, but my issues have the potential to become permanent.

That being said it's super toxic that people just throw the 988 number and call it a day like "omg im being a good person ahaha" instead of being empathetic and listening to them as people suffering.
