  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

The authorities should just give the latest less painful methods to anyone who wants to kill themselves. Killing yourself even with the least painful way isn't an easy thing because of survival instinct so no need to let us face extra fear with awful methods.

I want SN or N or even better euthanatize by the Sarco pod device. If I'm allowed to die for example by the Sarco pod device then I might even try to enjoy few things in life before my suicide deadline. It's sad that most of us have to face awful methods to ctb. Me personally I will probably face full suspension when I end it. I'm terrified about it.

I agree. It's inhumane for us to have no access to a reliable and peaceful exit from an existence we were forced into.

I too am very scared. I have a panic attack and break into sobs out of fear whenever I think seriously about CTBing and it's so unfair that we have to endure so much suffering to escape our painful lives.

Overpopulation is an issue. It could be solved by letting us die ffs. There are countless people who hate living.

I agree, however the majority rules, and for now there is more support for stopping suicide that facilitating it. But their "stopping" isn't all that effective.

The option to die by sane adults should be normalized, and at the same time the measures to contain suicidality should become more realistic.

I believe that it is cruel how the society tries to force us to live and people have to resort to risky and traumatic methods in order to end their suffering. I wish we lived in a society where our right to die is respected and then we could exit peacefully when the time is right for us. It is our life and our decision after all. I am trapped in this world as suicide is so difficult and I have a fear of ctb failing. All I want is to sleep for all eternity and never have to experience anything ever again. I deserve a peaceful death, ctb should not be so stigmatised. I want to escape decades of meaningless suffering.

How bad/good is it to OD? There was a dude that did it on prescription drugs for his PTSD... went right to sleep. It's way easier to just get a gun than a proper script or something like Heroin where I am.

I've OD'd several times, I certainly don't remember being afraid or in pain, at least until I was brought back (which I barely remember either, mostly because ppl were upset or in shock). Massive quantities of opiates and benzodiazepines is probably what'll kill me, I am too squeamish to carry out many other methods. Unfortunately odds of survival with permanent damage are higher than one would like, especially if found. Wish I was in NA where fentanyl is rife, would make it a lot easier.

I keep hearing benzos don't actually work though. I hope this is untrue.

I couldn't agree more. I wish it was legal everywhere with a safe means to do it if it's something someone wants to do (it should be their choice).

It's a shame that the clinic in Switzerland doesn't allow people with mental health issues. If you've tried treatment to not avail and are really so unhappy that you don't want to be here anymore than it should be your choice.

Not by themselves, the LD50 for just benzodiazepines is huge, you're far more likely to blackout and wind up in jail or something from megadosing benzos. It's the opiates+(insert strong downer) that brings the potentially lethal respiratory depression. Bear in mind you can (almost) always get narcanned out of an opi overdose.
