I am with the last details for ctb with sn these days but for a couple of days I have had pain and heartburn very strong due to gastritis, it will hurt more with sn right? Is there anything I can do to not suffer so much? I hadn't planned to take an antacid, but with what's happening to me, I don't know if it's better to use an antacid? which one would be better? Is it possible to fail due to gastritis?

I face a similar condition. Developed gastritis due to too much medications for depression and I'm afraid it might make it more difficult to take SN. On the other hand, it makes it much easier to get antiemetics prescriptions from any doctor. I will follow the guides thoroughly and hope nothing goes wrong.

By the way, have you been treating your gastritis? It's definitely the best way for it to have minimal impacts.

I also had this experience, I asked my Psychiatrist to give me Meto prescription, but he gave me other antiemetic, so I went to a gastroenterologist and complain the current antiemetic at hand is not working and then I got my Meto prescription.

The side effects of psychiatric treatment are horrible, I think mine has been aggravated these days by stress, not eating well and smoking a lot, I never take care of myself and I haven't been treating it because it wasn't as strong as yesterday and today. do you think an antacid will help me? I have doubts if I will only have more pain or if the sn will not work that way because I do not feel well enough to go to the doctor. I think it's a good idea that you get meto, I'm going to use it too

I think you really need to treat your gastritis with medicine if possible like omeprazole that will reduce acid in your stomach. Try and make yourself as comfortable as possible before you use sn.

I was prescribed omeprazole. It really helps, but the effects have a considerable delay, so I need to be diligent about the time to take the medication or it will hurt anyway. It's hard to be diligent when depressed...

When you have an opportunity to see a doctor, I recommend strongly doing so. The pain really goes away when I take the medication in the right time and it becomes one less thing to worry about, even when planning to ctb.

Didn't they make omeprazole OTC many years ago? How about loading up on a bunch of probiotics?

I have listened to them and I just started taking omeprazole, I already had it because it was going to be part of my regimen with sn and I think they are right that I should treat my gastritis first, I thank you very much for your answers.

I'm not sure what happened to @anaconda but thanks.

It is what will cost me the most work, be diligent but I will try. Thank you

I also think it's a good idea to take probiotics to make it go faster. Thank you

It's great to see you taking care of it. If you happen to find something else that helps, I'd like to know, because it could help me too.

I didn't try probiotics before. Maybe I will give it a try too.
