Hey everyone, I have a question. Imagine you are staying on a ladder and you tight the noose on your neck. You stay on the third ladder step. How exactly would you go down so that you'll hang yourself?

This is kind of an atypical set up... You wouldn't really be able to get down unless the rope had a lot of slack and in that case you wouldn't be able to hang yourself.

I think with this set up the only way you could do it would be to kick the ladder out from underneath you so that you hang from whatever the rope is tied to.

i think my explanation is bad. This is my set up: my rope is tied on a strong wood beam. A chair would be too short so I have to stay on the ladder. While standing there I'll put the noose around my neck. Then I'll step down on ladder step 3. There I'll have somehow kick the ladder away because I calculated that at the height of 60cm which is between step 2 and 3 I'll hang the noose will tighten. My problem is that the ladder is very big and stable. I thought about slowly falling to the right side but then I wonder is this enough I mean the ladder would be right infront of me and I thought that my si would probably force me to put my feet back in the ladder steps.

This is how my ladder looks like. Its too strong, I can't kick it away. When I stay at step 3 I somehow have to go down slowly not jumping down.

If your ladder is too sturdy to kick over, kick away from you, or even slide away from you (and I would really double check to make sure this is actually the case), then I would use a chair or a stool instead of a ladder. Most ropes are long enough to adjust the height of the noose, even if your anchor point is high up. I would adjust the height of your noose so that you can fit your neck into it when standing on a chair or stool. If your rope isn't long enough to do this, I would buy a longer rope, which is usually very cheap and easily accessible.

It may not be the most satisfying answer, but you need to be able to kick away your platform when doing full suspension if you want to be 100% sure it'll work. And if you can't do that with your current materials, you need to acquire new materials. Best of luck on your journey, wherever it takes you đź«‚

I'll try to make this make sense but what if you climbed the ladder backwards, meaning instead of the front of your body facing the ladder, the back of your body would. This way you can easily jump forward off the ladder.

Hey, thanks for your advice. The problem with a chair is that my chairs are maye 40cm high and I want a higher distance because after I did my hanging the distance from my body to the ground will reduce and I do not want to be very close to the ground.
Now I'll try to practice with another ladder that isn't as stable as the wood ladder. My plan is to do it this way: at first I'll build my setup then I'll go in the ladder very high so that I can put the noose perfectly on my neck then I step down. After that while standing on the ladder steps I'll put my right foot off the ladder and And than while my left food and hands are still on the ladder at the moment when I slowly remove my left foot I'll use my hands to push the ladder far away from me. And also one final thing, while practicing I realized how fast I get unconscious so I think when I put the right foot off the ladder and go little bit down with my body weight that at this time my vision will already start to get black. I hope you understand me and sorry for my English:)

That sounds good but my set up is little bit complicated I don't think it'll work that way

The final set of the ladder should be a few feet away from the rope. Climb until you can noose. Tighten it. Step down.
You will run out of rope before you run out of ladder. Swing out. Done.
