Do you ever feel like telling them:

F**K YOU!!!! ?

The past few days, this is what I've been doing, and I have to say that it feels damn good. I feel that I've been forsaken because I have lost control over my life. Everything is closing in on me and I'm panic stricken. The only thing that gives me any sense of control is calling God out for abandoning me, even tho I know it's more like I abandoned Him. Are any of you ever angry with God and how do you deal with that?

I am so with you - the idea of some benevolent being who guides my life and is essentially good is the opposite of my lived experience.
You have not abandoned Him - we pretend He cares/exists to make this vale of tears less painful, to hold on to some faint, tenuous hope of better days.
You are your own strength and truth.

Sometimes I wonder why God created me, a sinner. TBH, the universe would've been better without me. I'm causing a lot of headaches to those who I love for years. I'm sure their lives would've been better without me.

I do swear to God sometimes. I regret it afterwards. If I die, and by some miracle bypass hell and went through purgatory, I'll ask a lot of hard questions.

I know it sounded naive to most of you, but it is what I believe in.

Sometimes in desperation I swear at Him but in the end there is no one to blame but me. The fact that I have an ability to fix all my problems but just don't have enough strength to force myself to do so makes it so much worse.

Interesting. Please elucidate: do you believe that you, and perhaps all individuals, are Gods in their own lives?

If you've looked at history and wonder why there was no higher power to stop atrocities from happening, whether it's children dying or mass amounts of people being murdered, plus all the pain and grief in the world overall, you wonder why God isn't responding. Then you wonder about the existence of God, then you realize there is no God and that humans are just a fucked up species that did the acts by themselves, sometimes in the name of a God.

Voltaire opined that if God did not exist, humanity would have invented the concept anyway. We need a target outside of ourselves on which to blame our failures.

Either that, or you realise that bailing you out of worldly problems isn't God's job, and isn't what religion is about.

None taken, and that was not the intent of my question. Some people find faith and destiny in themselves, instead of seeking such elements from an external being/deity. In a sense, they are their own Gods, with the capability of choosing and controlling their own fate. Ofc, when people think of God, they believe that it is omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient, but such definitions vary across different religions/belief systems. I apologize if my comment sounded snarky or rude because I was engrossed in my studies and therefore I wasn't in the correct headspace.

no its ok. for me god's basically belief. i believe in myself. i believe everyone has the capability to be their own god but i can understand that sometimes it takes an outside source to see it. (Christianity ect) to me, in other religious they are basically sending their belief out to "god" and "god" is sending it back. whatever works for the individual really, im just skipping the middle man. mostly because i found the stories hard to believe and could never understand why i needed something i dont believe in to tell me something i already know.

That's actually quite powerful. Instead of subscribing to organized religion/faith, seeking spirituality within oneself helps eliminate external factors, thus emphasizing control and self-reliance within their lives. It can be quite liberating, yet at times troubling, I presume? I would wager that there are times in our lives where there are incredible hardships (e.g. loss of a loved one, losing a job, etc.), which may challenge one's own spirituality, provoking questions such as, "why can I not do this?" or "why am I so powerless?". Nevertheless, I agree that seeking spirituality within self has more benefits than actively seeking out "the Man in the Sky" and relying on His whims, as the former is dependent on the self (therefore more consistent and reliable) and the latter is unpredictable and uncontrollable.

i do "take" from religions stuff that i do believe like the serenity prayer only instead of god its i

i have the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

my beliefs are basically a hodge podge of everything i feel and observe, instead of following one straight line.

Ah, the Serenity Prayer, I see ... a wonderful method for practicing humility and stoicism, as well as self-reliance and exercising will.

Ah, the Book of Job. To quote a previous post of what I think of Man's relationship with (the Abrahamic) God,
a one-sided, abusive relationship with a vengeful tyrant who in fact, should be the one apologising for failing to keep us free from sin.

No. Personally, I am very spiritual and believe we pre-plan a basic outline for the trajectory of our lives before we incarnate. I believe I chose an extremely challenging life on purpose with the intent to grow and develop spiritually through surviving adversity and trauma.

I don't think my life is "wrong" per se. I think it's largely unfolded as it was meant to be- I'm just too weak to cope with the pain and sorrow that it's inflicted upon me.

I do NOT believe in organized religion, BUT I do say evening prayers to GOD. GOD is part of the total experience as far as this life is one of many that I will go through. Now yes I have good and really bad days, but in the total scheme of things to "blame" GOD or whoever is just not me. I try my darnest to stay with the thoughts that 1) what goes around comes around 2) easy to judge, hard to understand 3)never point my finger at someone else as far as as judging them becasue I am looking in a mirror and judging myself only anyway 4) be kind and loving towards all, life is way too short and sometimes cruel to be/do other wise. And then you die. Happyness in a package doest exist.
I have learnt something since I came here. It may sound hard.

Look at the way you lived your life. Its payback time. All things have a cost.
Look at the positive side though. You can tell your kids and family about your grand failure.

You are your own strength and truth.

Well, you know the saying that goes like God protects the one who protects himself...

Sometimes I wonder why God created me, a sinner. TBH, the universe would've been better without me. I'm causing a lot of headaches to those who I love for years. I'm sure their lives would've been better without me.

It's not only you. I think that universe would have been better off without humanity. It was fine without us and it will be fine without us, if not even better. Just look what we do to our planet.

Screenshot 20201001 153708 Chrome

Interesting. Please elucidate: do you believe that you, and perhaps all individuals, are Gods in their own lives?

If you asked me, I would say that God is omnipresent and within every one of us, animals, extraterrestrials. Whether God is part of insects, molecules, cells? I don't know. Maybe.

We should look within ourselves and not look outside of ourselves to shift the blame for our wrongs.

If you've looked at history and wonder why there was no higher power to stop atrocities from happening, whether it's children dying or mass amounts of people being murdered, plus all the pain and grief in the world overall, you wonder why God isn't responding.

I think humanity was an experiment by extraterrestrials and misled by them into thinking they are pur God by using advanced technology that our people took for miracle.

I think the ultimate God, the God of everything is omnipresent and is just neutral about everything. God just exists.

Therefore God that is mentioned in religious books is not truly the ultimate God that we are told to believe so it's possibly we are praying to the "wrong" God.

I don't know why extraterrestrials seeded humanity on earth. Since they are not the egoless and all loving ultimate God, it's possible they needed humanity to serve their interests. Same thing governments need humans for their own interests.

No. Personally, I am very spiritual and believe we pre-plan a basic outline for the trajectory of our lives before we incarnate. I believe I chose an extremely challenging life on purpose with the intent to grow and develop spiritually through surviving adversity and trauma.

And what would be the ultimate goal in that evolutionary progression of soul? What's the incentive and what's the point of reincarnation and suffering?

If there is a God I find it impossible to believe it loves any humans like we are all taught to believe. Something must have created all of this but I dont think it cares about any of us.
