I don't know if anyone else has spotted this, apologies if so, but remember BPG and his relationship with Fixthe26? Well, as predicted, he has spoken out in an interview on YouTube. It's in some places a leading interview, and I don't share in the experiences in the way that Jeremy is describing them.. but interesting nonetheless, especially to understand them more I find.

He failed to mention the real reason why people called him out. I haven't seen any pro suicide content here, people are always glad when people genuinely change their mind. He posted multiple goodbye threads, it left a bad taste in my mouth. He also reported someone who was suicidal to the police. People called him out for his manipulation, which could be shown here by his twisting of what actually happened.

However if people did pm him after he offered support, that is a bit wrong to be fair.

Well, he has the right to say whatever he wants about his experience, and I have the right to say, that based on the perspective of others and many posts I've seen, he is an attention seeking cunt and this is definitive proof of that.

Obviously, he would go on that manipulative, fact twisting, lying "platform".

Couldn't agree more. Just what is even the point? To be an asshole, make a point, payback ? I really don't understand the motive, but I also don't believe I was here during his time here.

This interviewer is the worst lol. He makes a half decent point, and then fluffs it up with emotionally manipulative garbage that adds absolutely nothing to the conversation, and is only there to insult the members of this site. It's not really impossible to talk about something like this without proceeding to spurt out random, targeted lies to try and better the argument. If he has to make shit up to sound reasonable, his argument is probably flawed anyways. I never interacted with or saw posts from the interviewee, but damn this interviewer is so biased it's unreal.

Is this like a series or something he's doing on this site? Little confused about the context haha, thanks for sharing though!

Having viewed alot of BPG's threads I feel like he didn't have a grasp on what it means to be pro choice. He was called out for constant attention seeking behavior and not for the fact that he decided not to CTB.

In his final thread he touted this interview as if he was speaking for the entire forum which is ludicrous to say the least. Good riddance to this fool.

For the whole under 18 part, there's no way of verifying that wouldn't be a massive privacy violation of the people on this site. And even if SS required something like a ID/drivers license/whatever someone could just steal their parents or family members id and use that. And by his words, do you really think these "non professionals" (eyeroll) should be in the hands of sensitive and private information like that?

Also, it is considered free speech... And people aren't banned for saying they want to get help, wtf..With everything they say, it's clear "Fixthe26" has no idea what they're talking about.

One final bit to add... The only actual goal FixThe26 has is to shut this place down. BPG had some fanciful idea that if we broke bread with the enemy that we'd somehow be able to co exist.

BPG doesn't have some super secret information that they can't find on their own. They wanted an interview with a (now ex) member and that's it. He's no longer useful to them and I highly doubt they make much effort to "stay in touch."

This is a very narrative rich interview. As someone that is not really in alignment with the majority of the users here, I have never had anyone come to me and take issue with my attempts at making sure an individual has explored all their options. That's just my anecdotal experience of course but given the subjective nature of this interview, perhaps it's relevant.

The American guy with the guitars is very irritating for me. He has a self-righteous air about him

I think he might be referring to when people here have said stuff like not to post goodbye threads when you aren't absolutely sure or when people feel betrayed for emotional investment into failed attempts. I'm not one to judge whether it's right to feel that way or not but even something like that is not something the site or even the community as a whole should be held responsible for except by moderators. It's hardly encouraging people to do it either but it can sure sound that way without any nuance or context...

Sounds a lot like picking and choosing. Also generalizing. Again, most that I have seen, is nothing but love and support when someone fails or backs out. The occasional person comes by saying something that makes it seem like they aren't ready. When someone says "It's ok if you're not ready, because you sound like you're not." Or something like that, I don't see why that's so wrong. I see it as trying to show someone they are not wrong for their choices. Ultimately it IS against the rules to encourage suicide.

Of course this is just my experience. Even if some people sound like they are encouraging or whatever, the actions of a few, should not be put onto everyone.
