I am in a huge financial debt with no means to repay it. this bloat is eating me alive. I have a family to feed and i have zero financial assets and savings. Everything is dark around me and i wish to die.

But if you kill yourself then how will your family survive? I don't think it's a good idea at all to kill yourself when you have a family and there's no savings for them to use. I don't know how you can become financially stable but I'm sure there's like a specialist who's job is to give financial advice (I can't remember the job title but I know they exist) because assuming your family knows money is tight, your death will make them miserable as there's less adults to help bring in money now. Again, I don't know your situation well at all but I feel like there is some kind of solution, even if it'll take a while...

But who will the rest of the debt transfer onto? Besides, I don't think it's a wise idea to just hope that the insurance money will help things out. For starters, what if the insurance company is feeling cheap that day and doesn't give your family enough to survive? I think it's too much of a gamble...

Most don't. I think there are some that might... but you have to be REALLY sure and I think it costs quite a bit more to obtain that kind of insurance.

In most cases, debt you have transfers to your spouse after death. Sometimes they try and go after kids too... but there's less legal grounds there, depending on where you live in the world.

Debt is huge and if I will give 100% of my earnings for next 25 years I would repay only 40% of debt but with insurance it increases to 70%.

Typically covered but there's often a 2-3 year exclusionary clause from date of purchase and the company may still fight it even then.

I'm always very sad when I see that financial problems can be a reason for dying. But we live in this fucking world and everything is about money. So many people are suicidal for these reasons here. Could a fundraising be possible ? It breaks my heart to hear that money problems can lead to suicidal ideation. I understand your despair, but please consider other option than suicide if you have a good health or a good family and friends. I personally have no life since years (isolated, no work, no friends, no partner, no kids, disabled, cannot drive, severe anxiety, rare neurological disease and so many things). I don't know your story and your life, but please don't commit suicide if financial debt is the only reason. I'm a pro-choice but... I'm so sad for you. I really hope your situation will be better soon. Maybe you could open a facebook post or something to cry for help or things like that ? I'm sure people will be touched by your story

i've also had money issues for most of my life, although my reasons are different because my mom wants to kick me out of the house to go to university but i would become homeless because i can't afford school and living away from home. ctb seems like the only option for me when i don't want to keep living with my mom until i'm 30. my whole childhood i was waiting until i'd get old enough to move away and never have to see my mom again, but it never happened. none of my siblings moved away. we're all in our early twenties. my sister told me she could try to help me pay for college by getting her own job, but i just think it's unrealistic that she could help me when she has to pay for her school as well. people usually only have enough money to help themselves instead of help others. living a life without money is crippling and can cause anyone to break down.
