Finally got my first check.

i just deposited my first ever check, like my own hard earned money. it's all so crazy to me, being a hikkikomori/NEET my entire life and finally getting a job at 20,, i didn't really have any high hopes but here i am today, i feel like a capable adult for once. i am going to order my SN soon, i plan to ctb before fall begins but who knows…if everything goes smoothly then the earliest i can ctb is in june. i've made the decision that i don't want to live past 21, and i've come to terms with everything already but i still have to mentally prepare myself. my birthday is all the way in fall so i have some time :) right now i'm just slowly gathering the things i need + spending as much time with my family. i feel so euphoric, knowing i'll have a way out soon. i never thought i'd get a job since my highest education is 9th grade. it feels unreal, almost like it was meant to be.

I can relate too. There's a weight in my chest that lifted when I ordered SN for the first time. It hasn't arrived yet, but the thought of having a way out is comforting, to say the least.

Well done! I can imagine how good it feels to be in a better position like you're in, to now be able to afford the things you need to CTB or otherwise.
I hope I can also leave NEETdom someday so I can afford what I need to CTB.
