I just wrote in another post about my daughter, who's in university, and how I worry that if I were to harm myself it's open the gate to her harming herself. So, I'm on this site, recognizing and supporting people's right to make choices for themselves. And this is true for everyone except my daughter. For me, I would do LITERALLY anything to keep her from harm, including self-harm. I recognize the blatant hypocrisy here. But I'm fine with it; my daughter is simply in a different class. Does anyone else feel like this? Like, regardless of your support for the general concept of self choice, there are some people for whom you could not accept this?
