Hi all, I've been slowly collecting the things I need for SN and would like any info or feedback on the medications I chose.

So far I plan to use:
Tagamet (cimetidine) 200mg pills Dramamine (dimenhydrinate) 50mg pills
SN, a 50g packet split into 25g parts
Ibuprofen or Aleve probably

My background: 300 lbs female, no medications, drugs, drinking or smoking. Only medications I take is diphenhydramine and melatonin almost everyday. I plan to fast for at least 12 hours or whatever I can manage, using a stat dose. The timing of medications will be adjusted once I figure out the exact date I'll shoot for, and I'll see if i can stop my allergy pills and melatonin ahead of time once it's been decided to avoid any interactions.

I heard that both tagamet and dimenhydrinate were removed in more recent editions of the PPEH so I want to know your guy's thoughts on it. I read that dimenhydrinate is the more effective anti emitic compared to meclizine.

Thanks.

I dont have access to benzos, and I dont have the money at this time for bromazolom. Tagamet is an acid reducer. If I need both an antacid and acid reducer, probably calcium carbonate tablets.

Is that the right link? I tried to view it in the other current SN failure thread, my phone told me it tried to download an .apk, not a pdf.

I think you'll be okay here. It should work just have an extra dose or two made on the side Incase you vomit. I'm not even using meto. I'm just doing the SN by itself maybe some ibuprofen an hour before. Plus the 8 hour fast & Listerine mouth wash before and after for the taste. I have confidence this will work for me and if it doesn't I'll have two extra doses on the side in case I vomit within 30 minutes of ingestion.

I'd say the antacid is a toss-up right now. The PPH recently dropped it, but there have also been tons of people that were sucessful using it.

Dramamine is a motion sickness pill and likely won't do anything for the type of nausea that you'll get from SN (though there is some indication that it can help with stomach nausea from things like the flu). Probably won't hurt anything though, if you can't get a different antiemetic

Agree, if it was included for so long, it might not be a bad idea to use them just in case. We won't really know unless they include a note or explanation as to why they were recently taken out.

I'll have to hunt to see whether or not I can get a different antiemitic but thats the best I can do for now.

Try this link:

I have a source for Diazepam in Europe, butit´s very expensive. You can also use simple baking soda to reduce acid. You can also use Domperidon instead of Meto or Diphenhydramin(chlorid).

Could you approach your physician and say you have are starting to have abdominal fullness after meals and heard that metoclopramide can help with this issue? Maybe add that you would like to "try and see if it helps as a short term solution".
Just a thought.
