My city is relatively safe during the day but everytime I go outside I imagine someone trying to hit me with their car or if I walk past someone and don't smile at them they will hurt me. I know these thoughts are irrational but multiple times a day I believe them for a minute and it feels awful. I've never even been attacked before it's just my anxious mind coming up with these things. How do I manage these thoughts?
