I believe that there are more people on this site struggling to stay alive and stuck in limbo as opposed to those who are actively making attempts.

To all those folks just trying to get through their issues...
What things help you cope with every day life?

I follow the same routine most days. I wake up, get dressed, go to work, leave work, come home, shower, order food, eat, watch shows and moves or play chess or poker online until I pass out. Do the same thing again over and over. Give or take a few specific details.

On my days off It's the same thing minus the working. This life feels very very boring and lonely but sometimes it just feels right. Like what I deserve for the choices I've made in life. I think I'm ok with it but I feel like I'm just bidding my time until something happens that I can't recover from.

If I had a million dollars I would probably do the same exact thing.
That's not even considered a lot of money in today's times anyway.

Maybe some advice on what other people like to do might add some flavor to my tediou days. Thanks.

i try to meet new people. I will have short lived friendships or flings. I feel lonely most of the time, so it helps with that. I go out with them and have fun, do whatever i do with that person for a while. I prefer them being short lived/not serious as its really hard for me to form real connections with people and i also like the exciting new feeling about it

I used to try to meet new people (online). Yes there are perks to it bc it isn't serious. But it feels exhausting bc once a friendship ends and u meet a new person, it's the "getting to know" process again. I just want someone to fall back on. It's hard to enjoy a friendship if I keep worrying when they'll ghost me

For starters.

Listening to music helps fills my head with noise to kinda block out the thoughts.
I find music to be a really great tool for stuff like this. it has got me through alot.

Taking baths too they make me feel really relax in the bath and when I get out.

Daydreaming also helps me get through tough days

constant imaginary escapism or binge watching anime/youtube videos. often both at once.

Weed and booze. (Prioritizing the weed though because that's less risky.) Fanfiction and porn. Writing poetry (although I'm a perfectionist so sometimes I go insane and it backfires. But when I'm in the zone it's good.) Having a good conversation with my boyfriend where we get into that sweet repartee.

When you're in your 40s, friendships don't last and making plans is nearly impossible. This is really the only place where I can let my anger and bitterness out, and I think I'm nice enough in real life, but friends don't come easily. I take CBD gummies and Sudafed for my bad sinus issues, which has the side benefit of putting me to sleep. The more I can sleep, the better.
