• Hello Guest,

We will not be following or complying with the Online Safety Bill that was recently signed into law in the UK. This bill will not affect the operations of the site, nor do we have a presence in the UK to receive notice or fines that the UK Government may impose.

We would highly recommend that all users from the UK get some sort of VPN, and you should petition your lawmakers to let them know how you feel about this piece of draconian legislation.

If you are feeling alone (Sopor Aeternus - No One Is There):

If you feel a little hopeless (Matt Eillot - Prepare For Disappointment):

Both artists have so so many other good songs. If I were to write down each one of them this post might not fit in one page XD

The second song is my life, No One Is There, indeed. But even when they were, they weren't really.

Not sure if it qualifies, but "We Fly So Close" by Phil Collins is on my playlist for whenever I get hit really hard with a depressive mood. Its about life regrets, and how close we come to destroying ourselves on a near constant basis. I'm sure the song had something to do with his marriage breakup at the time as well, but I always listen to it from an 'unfulfilled life' perspective.

If I'm To Die - Keaton Henson
Sinking Man + I of The Storm - Of Monsters & Men
Car Radio + Migraine + Taxi Cab + A Car A Torch A Death + Anathema - twenty one pilots (do these count?)
Some instrumental stuff which could be seen as 'depressing' be Happiness Does Not Wait & So Far by Olafur Arnolds also his For Now I Am Winter album.

I could list a few, but I've always found this one in particular to be quite a tuneful & sorrowful thing.

As an aside, what about the silliness of anti-suicide songs? Take this one for instance. I mean, is Maynard really this clueless? I like the song and the album as a whole is quite good, but it's always made me roll my eyes a bit. Come to think of it, a lot of even Tool's songs basically boiled down to. "Hey you! Depressed, addicted person who's in pain! Fuck you! Worthless piece of shit!" (eg. Swamp song) Then again, I never really got in to Tool that much, so maybe it's just me painting broad strokes.

I'm planning on when i'm about to ctb is just listen Pink Floyd's The Wall album and then when the final song stops playing it's basically the cue to deck the halls with my brain.

Another cliched answer: Hurt by Nine Inch Nails

Hurt, but Johnny Cash's cover. Even Trent Reznor has said that is Johnny Cash's song now. He pwned it.
