Discussion Favorite marine animals and why?

I was always fascinated by those huge creatures...Megalodon...how terrifying it would be to swim in the ocean and suddenly one of those would appear.

Every animal of deep sea is fantastic.

I find it really cool the anglerfish' bacterial light.

But Cthulhu is the best. Would be awesome.

Assuming we can do fictional creatures then I'm going kraken. I was terrified of this pic as a kid, only looked at it again as an adult. If I wasn't going to CTB I'd get a tattoo of it.

dwarf cuttlefish are super cute i love them

personally my number 1 favorite will always be seals but if i had to choose a non-mammal i would pick cuttlefish

Orcas because they're just so intelligent and majestic. I can't believe they started flipping boats for fun, so mischievous I'd love to work with them or just observe their behavior for living

I would put octopuses with the above. I swear if they could breathe on land humans would be screwed. I would love to have an octo for a pet but they are pretty high maintenance and also live for like two years.

I like jellies as others have mentioned. I could watch them for hours.

Eels are amazing and also tasty.

Sharks. They peaked long before most other current species came into existence. They are perfect. But also apparently giant puppies?

Loveful of seals! Harp seals especially but any kind! They're adorable and the way they galumph is v cute! They're super playful and in aquariums n stuff they're always so playing and sweet and nice! When I die I want to be a harp seal with my mama!

My fave famous seal is probs Niko(Toba Aquarium), but I also really like Yochan(Tokkari Center) and also Willem(ZHC) and Haida Gwaii(VAMMRS)!
