Earlier this week I posted that I couldn't find my husband's handgun that I was going to use to ctb. He has hidden it away and despite my looking for it, it remained hidden. Well as luck would have it, I searched again and found that he had hidden it in my china of all places. So now, at long last, I can put an end to my miserable, pathetic and useless life. He will be going out of town this weekend and be gone for a week. While he is gone I am going to check into a hotel and do what needs to be done. I want to thank everyone here for being so kind to me. You guys are basically the only friends I have. I have no friends here in real life. I wish all of you the best and hope you can be happy and pain free at some point. I will be on and off here until I go to the hotel. I'll post when my time is up. Love you all.

But why? I am miserable, lonely, in pain 24/7, and unbearable unhappy. I am depressed all the time. My anxiety is a constant issue. I have no friends. I can't work. I contribute absolutely zero to anyone's life. I can't think of why I shouldn't.

I don't know your relationship with your family but is it that empty? I worry about you because it's such a violent way to go, and the costs of a failed attempt are devastating.
My family doesn't need me anymore. Both of my sons are grown and are living their own lives. If I try to help with something or make a suggestion, they get annoyed or blow me off. My husband and I have a decent relationship but we have issues like all marriages. There are some things that can't be fixed or he won't try to work on and I can't live with them anymore. I know that's vague but I can't go into the problems because they are complicated. Because of all this, I feel unwanted and lonely. I don't feel as if I have value anymore. My husband doesn't listen when I say something. He just ignores me. Not a great feeling. I know none of this sounds like much but there are other things in my life that have contributed to my misery. Emotional garbage. Chronic illnesses. Mental health. And just a poor outlook on the rest of my life. Everyone would be better off if I was gone. I have no value and am not wanted anymore.

Handguns are way too easy to fall. A shotgun shall have a much better chance. Strongly suggest you to get a shothun instead, if you have time.
I have access to a shotgun but can't physically maneuver it to be successful. I have an injury to my arm that makes it difficult. But I can manage the handgun. I've shot it several times at the shooting range.
I won't be doing that. I've taken care of a few unsuccessful attempts in the ICU and it is not pretty.

Although I get where you're coming from I love how you're on a pro-choice suicide forum trying to guilt trip people. Guilt tripping people isn't going to stop them from committing suicide how about trying to show some support instead of a guilt trip. That is more likely to get through to them.
I'm sure you have family that love you and will be devastated if you kill yourself, so I guess we will be seeing them on here also.

@indigomoon that looks like a S&W Shield. 9mm and a short barrel aren't the best combo. Hope you can find a more peaceful method, but if you have to use that firearm, get the best +p+ hp ammo you can find. Don't use cheap range ammo. Failure with a firearm will leave you much much worse off than you are now.

I'm not an expert on guns but this is what I have. I believe it's a 40 cal S&W. I don't know anything about barrel sizes or ammo types. I just know that we have ammo here to go with it. I've shot it before at a target and am able to pull the trigger comfortably and without a problem. I know failure will be devastating so I don't plan on failing. I don't know my day yet but it will be within the next week. My husband leaves tomorrow night and is due back next Saturday.

40 cal is better than 9mm. But you should still get the best carry hp ammo you can. The good stuff is sold in boxes of 20 or 25 rounds. If it comes in a 50 round box, it's the cheap stuff.
I've even seen people fail with a shotgun.
Everyone underestimates how lethal most guns are. The vast majority of people won't survive a 9mm round center mass.
Actually you have a better chance of surviving a head shot than chest. It's pretty crazy, but you can blow half your brains out and live, but put a 5mm hole in your heart or lungs and that's a wrap.

If you care about your husband at all, don't use his gun. That he specifically hid from you. Likely for this reason. Your suicide is already going to destroy him. Don't add on the guilt of it being his gun. He will never forgive himself. Ever. He will feel like he killed you personally.
If you are set on dying, go purchase a different gun. I hope you stay open minded and continuously reevaluate your decision to die. But if you do it, please don't use his gun.

You have given me something to think about. I will definitely think this over. But I just want to be done. And this was a convenient way that I was personally comfortable with. But now I will rethink my method.
