A friend of mine online recently got interrogated by their parents and psychologist about their depression and suicidal tendencies. I always told them not to be so open as they didn't believe what I told them about psyche prisons and what "therapists" actually want, but now they have seen the truth.

When a similar thing happens to me back in January or so, what I did as a solution is fake a recovery, and it worked fairly well. Nobody anymore suspects a thing. Hell, I can even basically openly talk about what I want to do but everyone just takes it as me being silly but just the way I tone it.

So I'm telling them to do the same, fake a recovery to get their parents and psychologist off them. I just want to know if this form of thing works at avoiding psyche prisons or if I was just lucky. I really don't want them to get sentenced to suffer at one of those places.

On another note, have any of you faked a recovery to get out of a situation like this, and did it work?

I have faked recovery to get back in my Uni town (for various reasons, I don't feel good at my parents'home). It's a good thing that you and your friend aren't open to mental health "professionals". In my experience, it works since I would have had to stay at home and be treated like a child if I hadn't tried to pretend that I'm allright.

I've been forced to go to therapy for years and have so far convinced them that nothing is wrong. All I really need as evidence is to keep my grades kinda-high and nobody suspects a thing.

As I get closer tho it might get more obvious and I hope I don't get caught

First, you don't interrogate these things; unless you want to make shit worse.
There's a reason there's the term 'fake it' 'till you die.'

It was forced out of me. Not a lot was, but it got then suspicious. Those "therapsists" are just manipulators.

You shouldn't have to fake a recovery just to not get sentenced to a psyche ward....

Faking recovery is better than getting sent to one of those places and locked up.

Im in America so this isn't gonna be one of those cozy European places, it's gonna be hell.

Yes they are. My last one, Ron, would be patronizing every session. That shit was ridiculous. The biggest shit was when I mentioned wanting to get euthanasia and he suggested I go to Oregon for that. I didn't even know there was even a thing for that in Oregon.
