Okay, so I've tried hanging before with my literature wedged in the top of the door. I've tried a belt, a shirt, and a nylon rope. I don't ever really begin to pass out, I just get really red in the face and my eyes bug out. Help.
You are close off your jugular veins, which drain the blood from your head. This means the blood backs up in your head and can not get out. What you want to do is cut off your carotid arteries, which supply blood to your head. They are quite a bit deeper inside your neck and hard more difficult to find. You just have to fiddle with positioning until you find them. It took me quite a few tries to find them and I still can not hit them reliably every time.
