Venting Facing the consequences of old parents

Today my mom was like "you need to hurry up and finish your degree we dont know how long we can support you immediately and your dad should have already retired a while ago" why the fuck did you have me in your 50s then?? What exactly did you think was going to happen when the time came? You should've just stopped at my older brother. I know I was a mistake and they should have aborted me and I dont mean that in a self loathing way. I hate that theyre religious because if they weren't I probably wouldnt be here. Now im just going to kms to spite them. Maybe you shouldnt have expected your kid whom you forced into the word to outlive you.

I hope this kind of parent mentality dies with the boomer generation, but realistically, I know it will persist, especially in less developed countries. People having 3+ kids while barely able to survive on their own, then complain how much they hate kids and how they're money drains, then expect the kids to turn out fine (while not giving each enough attention or care), and work as "cashback" for all their efforts of raising them, and if they don't meet such expectations, guilt tripping and mentally abusing them. Bitch, you brought this on yourself, nobody forced you to keep going after the second time (although unfortunately, there are communities, especially religious, that do pressure people into it, and brainwash them that it's what god wants or whatever).

agree. Its definitely holding back laws pertaining euthanasia, abortion and assisted dying.
