  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

Pardon me if I sound stupid. I am thinking of a simple exit bag set up which consists of a big plastic bag tightly tied around the neck. One tube feeds inert gas and a suction device that promptly removes air from the bag. Instead of tying the Exit bag slightly loose we tie it pretty tight and bank on the suction device to remove the exhaled gas. Do you think this will work ?

Sounds like you're describing a relief valve/exhale valve setup. There's no need to forcefully remove "air" from the bag unless your intentions are to purge the co2 and reuse the inert gas.

The elastic around the neck already functions like a relive valve with the overpressure pushing out the co2. If you would forcefully suck "air" from the bag it would require a huge flow of inert gas to compensate the loss of pressure. If the pressure is less than the suction of the hose it would form a vacuum which would stick the bag onto your face.

i don't think so, you will likely just remove the inert gas that feeds into the bag
