Just screw it up so there no or little air in it then inflate it with inert gas.

Sorry what do you mean by screw it up? When am trying first I tighten the cord around my neck so that bag is snug then I pull the bag over my face on my forehead but when I try to get the air out the bag is inflated with air and won't let me crumbl

You are not suppose to tighten the cord around your neck. That is how the exhaled CO2 escapes so you don't get a panic response. Once you adjust it so you can slip two fingers between your neck and the bag, then when you crumple the bag, air will escape out the bottom.

Are the two fingers stack on top of each other?
