It is only an illusion to believe that we feel empathy for each other, when these "others" remain at a distance, and do not interfere in any way directly in our lives. Perhaps we feel less alone if we have the complacency of strangers, and if they talk to us about common experiences. But in the end it is only you, with you, for you. No one will be there, no one really knows you.
