This crossed my mind. I'm taking everyday medication for a Heart and BP issue with 'this' aspiration. Its a bit of a contradiction really. Anyone else thought the same?

I see the contradiction, but it makes sense to decrease (1) moment-to-moment misery, and (2) chance of a non-fatal event that puts you in a worse - but still alive - place than you are now.
