Living in the United States right now. I miss the bread not being cake, not having to smile and make small talk with strangers, the Christmas markets, the abundance of affordable dietary foods, etc...

I miss the abundance of different sorts of bread whenever I'm outside Germany haha. Even in France or Italy there is usually not that amount of different kinds of bread to choose from. Apparently germans have the most sorts of bread of any country, as I learned some time ago ^^
Interesting about the small talk, I feel like you still need to do that if you want any social contacts... but yeah I guess it's not mandatory. Then again, I feel especially in recent years, no one is actually talking to each other on the street anymore and people are becoming increasingly lonely because of it. It definitely has an impact on me, but im lonely to begin with...
