Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Hi all, I hope you're doing as well as you can be. 🐦 For several months now I've been planning to ctb, but recently I enrolled in an intensive outpatient program. The program is virtual, and I'll have 4 sessions per week. A small part of me hopes this will help somewhat and give me some skills to work through my issues; I'm not really hopeful, but I'm going to give it a shot. I have some guilt about my decision to ctb, so I figure it's worth trying even if for my family and friends. For those who've tried IOPs, what was your experience like? Any stories or stuff you'd wanna share?

I've gone through the same IOP program twice, once under my own power, once under a very firm suggestion/the threat of pinkslipping. I didn't retain anything the first time, I acted like an asshole in group, and generally wasted my time and theirs until I realized that I was using some of the coping skills they taught me in there outside of there when I was feeling overwhelmed or angry or whatever.

Second time through was great, informative, met some people who helped me feel not as alone in my specific issues, found resources to groups and other shit like that if I ever feel like reaching out. It can be a good thing for your mental wellbeing if you let it be, don't be obstinate like I was!

Why not?! Give it a go and see what happens! You didn't mention if this is depression, mental health, addiction, etc IOP but I'll just jump in. I attended a two phase IOP for addiction back when these things were in person. Very tiring time of life because of those additional hours on top of a work schedule. Intense...but a really great time to learn, to focus on myself, and to hear from others. I was only wanting recovery from drinking at the time, and it definitely helped. I hope you can have a good experience and let it take you wheee it takes you
