Email from royal mail

Is it normal to receive the following from Royal Mail by email after ordering from DMC?

"We've been notified that a parcel has been posted to you from (blank) in (blank).

We'll let you know when it's in the UK and Royal Mail has it for delivery."

Kinda spooked me at first aha

not ordered from DMC (still cannot find it ) but I've had that as an email when ordering from AliExpress so I think it's an international shipping thing and should be fine

Seems totally normal, I get a lot of deliveries from RM. I wouldnt be worried.

is yours still "This item is now leaving the originating country." in the tracking ? i ordered on the 11th and its been stuck like that and im worried it wont come

I had the same and then a welfare check.. you're lucky it might arrive without one.

Hide it well . I never got mine

you might like to plug the tracking number into the 'parcelsapp' website, if you haven't already. it aggregates updates from all (or most?) postal services. :)

my country's postal service tracker didn't show all the updates and made me anxious for nothing...

thank you!! its looking like it'll come next week. Just worried ill get a welfare check or it wont go through customs so fingers crossed it does.
