I love this thread! I am 44 and I have always loved Elmo. When I was 16 I begged for the elusive tickle me Elmo as a Christmas gift.
And it's weird, but seeing a darker version of Elmo doesn't bother me at all. I still find it funny as hell.

TBH... 37V isn't "high", not even lethal. He should have stayed at 30V/~1A for a while to see whether anything interesting would have happened. I guess the plastic of the motors would have started to melt after a few minutes . He went too high and burned the coils at about 32V...
