• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

You could probably climb a power line and the second you touch those power lines you would smell like barbecue.

I personally have been hit with 480V and it didn't really do that much. I just sat in my boom lift for like 20 minutes after and regained my composure.

Power lines have much much more voltage. I knew a guy that got his thumb caught on one for a split second and his thumb was fried and had to be amputated. Miracle the guy even survived.

I think the previous response summed it up pretty well. Nobody talks about it because it's potentially really painful, very unpredictable, and not at all reliable. Most people want the exact opposite of all of that when they CTB.

Most electrical devices now have built in safety switches that instantly cut the power in milliseconds if electricity leaks into water. If you threw a vintage toaster (without the built in safety features) into your bathtub and you survived, Google AI said this could be the result:

Surviving such an incident often involves life-altering consequences. Potential medical outcomes include:
    • Severe Electrical Burns: These are often deep-tissue injuries that occur where the current enters and exits the body.
    • Neurological Damage: Electrical shocks can cause permanent damage to the nervous system, leading to chronic pain, weakness, or loss of motor function.
    • Cardiovascular Complications: Even if the event is not immediate, the heart may suffer from irregular rhythms that require long-term monitoring or surgery.
    • Secondary Injuries: The sudden loss of muscle control or consciousness can lead to secondary physical trauma.
