Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

Back then you could not know how to read and still get some decent income or at least something guaranteed, now you can be a college graduate or an experienced trades person and be unemployed, it's so sad, there's no point in tryng so hard when the ceiling always goes up
I recently put so much effort into getting a job that I sacrificed my grades for the sake of learning (I learn so much more from my peers and extracurriculars about my field than in class, most of the professors are bad anyway). I worked myself into the ground to desperately try to get any internship at all during my freshman year because god knows I need one, but no matter how much my experience and effort seemed like it would help, I can't get hired and I get ghosted by all the companies that don't outright reject me. I dont think I'm going to be able to keep up this pace but if I dont want to be homeless and unemployed then I have to.
Its so exhausting and I can't take it anymore; I'm not a natural talent in the subject I'm studying and I didn't start early, so it feels like no matter how much work and effort I put in, I never get anywhere and I am always looked down upon. like you said, the ceiling keeps rising and I cant keep moving fast enough to keep up with it

I'm going into cybersecurity, I had no experience or knowledge prior to this year so I'm putting in the time to get caught up to the rest of my peers who seem to have high school experience lol
if I had to guess id ask if you were in some sort of computer science or medical field?

even after you manage to find a job, there's no incentive to try hard anymore because if you work extra hard, all that happens is your boss expects that to become your new default and gives you even more work for the same amount of pay
sometimes I consider becoming a locksmith because I like lockpicking and physical security, but Id be sad to leave cybersecurity because I do genuinely enjoy it. I just hate how behind in everything I am, I wish I got into it sooner instead of being indecisive about my future job prospects in high school

tbh if I get employed, if I really enjoy it then I would try extra hard anyway, it would lwk give me the will to live lmao but that doesnt seem realistic rn
The situation here south of the equator is even worse... AI has stolen customer service jobs (support/Customer Success), which were areas that always had openings. College degrees are worthless, people are only hiring through referrals (networking), and those who have that are the rich and those from influential families.
I only have enough money to live for another 23 days.
The chance of that changing is very low, I'm going to start starve soon. All the bills are overdue.
