Its been said that the most eco-friendly thing you can do is to not have kids, but what about taking your life? No one (from what i know) talks about stuff like how less contamination there won't be produced, how less plastic will be produced, water saved, etc. And from being someone who tries to be eco-friendly, I believe this is a big impact.
Its probably not the best post but let me know your thoughts.

Well, I fucked up my marriage by dragging my heels on having kids, citing the enviromental impact as a good reason to not have them. Now, with my marriage collapsed, I'm planning to end my own life.

Maybe Greenpeace will give me a posthumous medal.

You're absolutely right. Less water used, less toilets flushed, less carbon dioxide, less meat consumed, less fish consumed, one less car on the roads, leaving more room for those that actually want to be here and had a good childhood. One less female (me) with the potential to have a baby which would go and +1 all that was listed above.

Yes, legalization of death with dignity would have many benefits. Unfortunately, society is hell bent on suicide prevention at all costs. So as long as I'm forced to live I intend on being as enviormently unfriendly as possible as a form of protest .

I think about that a lot, how much I'll be helping the environment once I ctb. Let's save the resources for people who want to be here.

I've never considered the environmental aspect of suicide, but I've had a similar thought about the lack of resources I have to contribute to the world. I see my life as only having the potential for harm, and that is magnified by the amount of damage I do to the earth.

Unfortunately this idea only seems to cross the minds of those thoughtful people I'd prefer to have around..

Even if all of humanity CTB, non human animals will still suffer immensely. The sentient animals that are left would still succumb to diseases, natural disasters, and the food chain. Suffering has been perpetual since animals first developed a nervous system. The natural laws of physics that guide our ecosystem fucking sucks! Without it there would be no suffering.
