Dying is so scary. Whether it's suicide or a natural death, it's terrifying. Unless you're insanely lucky and die in your sleep, or something quick happens, it's going to be bad, really bad. Everyone who is born is doomed to die, and that feels so deeply unfair.

I honestly don't think anyone should be forced into existence just to be condemned to death and possibly a horrible, painful life. It's terrifying. There's no help coming from above. Nobody is coming to save us. There's no rescue, no intervention, nothing.

And that's what makes it so frightening. We all die in horrible ways, one way or another, unless you're incredibly lucky. I'm really, really scared, because I'm suffering more than I can handle, and every possible way out feels terrifying to me.

Nothingness is one thing, but what if you end up getting reincarnated over and over again every time you die ?

Every possible outcome is straight up terrifying. Maybe we already are in hell.

Yes, in fact everything is scary and painful : birth, life, death. Then, maybe reincarnation and it never stops. Greatest concept ever... 😬

I guess that's what I don't get with would- be parents. Whether they even consider that they will die- and we'll have that experience and then, we will die (most likely) afterwards. I don't really understand what makes them think- but their life will be so great- it will compensate. Does life really seem that great to them?

I'm almost resentfully unwilling to be that sympathetic towards parents now who tell me how awful it is to get old and ill and fear death. Like- I'm sure it's awful and you've given that experience to me!

Sometimes I think I was maybe a nazi in a past life for having such a shitty and painful life (I'm not joking because I believe in reincarnation - I don't want to play this game again but it seems real unfortunately). Damn I'm so tired...

It hurts the most when you realize reincarnation is the most plausible outcome... if only we could make sure there would be nothing after this life. I also feel like I have "lived" before having my current life.

Here is a good brand new documentary about reincarnation. It is in french but you can add english (or other languages) subtitles in settings.
It really bothers me. I don't want to reincarnate in Gaza as a war victim or in another hell.

I think that in reality what terrifies us is not being born, living, dying, or any other natural biological process, but the possibility of shedding consciousness. Not because of what is lost, but because in doing so it reveals the truth: that it was never necessary

Yeah, I believe consciousness is a bug, an anomaly, it never should have existed. It is the source of all pain and suffering.

Extreme Pain is much worse than people know

i don't fear Death = Non-existence forever . it's as before i was born . and i can't ever suffer unbearable pain nor extreme torture : so that's something to fear? not to me . but they have most people fearing eternal Non-existence when you won't exist so can't feel pain nor even know you are dead or know or experience anything .

to me Eternal Non-existence is the ultimate perfection because it's the only thing that is opposite of this hell called life and this evil world.

a brain is an abomination beyond words

for example only a brain can make you suffer unending constant unbearable pain. i'm just a brain .

unbearable pain is unbearable because it's so bad you can't stand it even a second more .

the brain is working you can suffer unbearable pain . then the human or animal dies the brain is not working so the animal can no longer suffer nor feel pain . so which state is preferable? to me Non-existence forever.

but they have everyone or 99.9999% of humans believing that Death / Non-existence forever is the worst thing.

this might be logical if the pleasure garbage addictions were stronger than the horrible things that can happen or the worst pain possible. but no it's the oppossite the horrible things and worst pain far outweigh the enjoyable time wasting garbage .

for example getting trapped in a fire and having 90% of your skin burned off and remaining alive , the pain and suffering dwarfs any stupid garbage they tell us is so enjoyable like watching a video, social media, news, TV show, eating a sandwich, watching a fucking sunset which they continually tell is soo beautiful : why say it so many times if it really were so? is that worth the worst pain the most extreme torture?

yeah eating a sandwich might be pleasureable but it's nothing compared to the worst pain.

but imo even any pleasurable experience addicts me more to that activity and the top addiction life. for example watching videos will addict me more to watching videos which is the sub addiction to the main addiction life.

100 billion humans and trillion trillion animals have had this curse .

yeah "dying" can be horrible as in "dying" from cancer for many months in pain or being eaten alive by animals, or burning to Death which can all happen and that's how most animals "died" by being eaten alive by other animals or parasites.

but dying can be painless and quick with a suicide method as in Nembutal, nitrogen , sarco suicide pod, morphine , fenanyl , herioin , shotgun to head , rifle to head etc.

for example Nembutal a person takes a drink and 3 minutes sleeping no pain and an hour later Death / eternal Non-existence.

she drunk Nembutal fearlessly joking around ( where is si? hmm) was asleep in 3 minutes max. last words " I'm falling asleep . it feels so good" as she had a bodily reaction of what can only be described extreme pleasure and ultimate victory and ultimate relief. and the video is still there for all to see . this is what they stole from everyone the right to escape this hell in a painless guaranteed easy quick way when you want to :

Dying is so scary.

I would argue that living is scarier. Life is filled with pain, despair and uncertainty.

I welcome death and the eventual peace that comes with it.

I agree, brains are wicked and more specifically human brains. There is no way for anyone with a brain to escape extreme physical pain. There is no way for someone with a consciousness to escape extreme psychological suffering. If someone is responsible for the creation of this universe, it can only be a malicious entity, not a virtuous God.
I would argue that living is scarier. Life is filled with pain, despair and uncertainty.

I welcome death and the eventual peace that comes with it.
Both are scary as fuck

for some reason nothingness seems scarier than reincarnation. reincarnation would at least imply something known in some capacity and you still have agency... death is the ultimate unknown and unfamiliar.

I really understand and I see it as so horrific how we exist in this reality where the suffering and torture of existing is seen as to force and prolong no matter what, I always suffer from how I cannot just have the option to cease existing painlessly to escape from the abomination of existence that just causes endless amounts of pain and suffering with no limit as to how much one can be tortured, to me existence always feels like a mistake and I'd never wish to be conscious of anything at all, to be conscious of this existence and forced to suffer is the most terrible, cruel burden, this existence never should had been imposed at all.

I kinda disagree on that. Reincarnation is just as scary as complete nothingness for me. It implies you really cannot "die" for real and are forced to keep living "forever".

Tbh yeah when you think about it deeply, why the fuck are we being forced to even exist ? Why do we have to come into this world without having been asked if we wanted to ? Why do we have to endure all the pain and suffering ? For what ? If there was a God, it would make some sense (not completely though). But there is no God. Or if there is one, he doesn't give two fucks about us. So why ? Why all this ?

Life is considered a gift because even if it is finite, you get to experience things for that window of time that you wouldn't have been able to otherwise.

It's just tragic that people who don't experience life as a positive thing end up being born too.

I have a difference of an opinion here. While death is a foreign concept until you get to that point I think it's much worse if you care about somebody and they pass away never seen them again more so than dying yourself. I think the best way to go is in your sleep so you don't suffer at all. However there are people that are just so sick of being alive with nothing to live for that they will do whatever is necessary to cease to exist and I can't blame them one bit because I'm in that boat right now. No friends no family Just me and my cats that may work out for some of you but I'm not mentally sound enough for this kind of life.
