• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

This has certainly come up a hundred times since it seems so
obvious.

Why is it considered an unsuitable option to swim into open sea till ones strength fades and one drowns?

In particular if done eg at night it seems quite safe, and the actual act if drowning can't take so long.

Optionally: one could also take sleeping aids and alcohol before.

This seems so accessible / doable that I wonder why it is not considered as
a standard.

It seems generally accepted that whilst drowning may be over relatively quickly, the period whilst it's happening is most unpleasant. And it takes considerable strength of will and commitment to just keep on swimming as you start to get tired and scared on your way out to the deeper water.

if you want it to work you would need to go out in a small boat or raft. Then shoot a hole in the bottom. No turning back then.

Let's say one has sufficient strength if will to just keep going - swimming into the open sea. It cannot take so long till one drowns?

Please - am I too naive in thinking that this is the easy way out (even if momentarily uncomfortable)?

Even without medication - are there estimates on how realistic and how longish this - swimming into open sea - would be?
