Obviously, this is the only place where I feel I can share these thoughts. Forgive me if this comes off as just a ramble.

Why is it that when I drink, I'm always more in the mindset of wanting to ctb; more determined, yet it's never the right time? It's maddening, I tell you.

Anyway, just wanted to put that out there.

Alcohol is a depressant, and although we can feel happy and merry whilst drinking, when we have that one, two and three too many, the good vibes can quickly change to anger, feeling weepy and often sadness. Also we tend to lose our inhibitions when drunk, hence we can feel braver and defiant. That's just my take on it anyway.

True, but my life is depressant, and alcohol is my antidepressant that works.

While I'm drinking and catching a buzz, I never think about ctbing. It's always the next morning when I'm hungover.
Same. I hate to say it, and I definitely don't want to encourage anyone to drink because not everyone has the same reaction. But in my case drinking helps me sort of mildly forget what I'm going through. It's kept me alive for longer than I would've expected.

I usually feel great when I'm having a good drink alone. Nothing to upset me, listening to some great music or watching TV. The problem starts when somebody upsets me or angers me, either in person or online... then my first reaction is that I want to die. I have acted on this a few times by taking ods.
