The rest of the week I am just depressed, sad, in anxiety, in pain or just plain bored.

Besides this, I have to keep it a secret from my family who condemns it.

I can't be expected to live like this for 50 more years, can I?

It can easily spiral out of control, I was drinking at least two bottles of whiskey every weekend at my worst.
You are right though, I worked solid for 20 years, expected to work another 30, I just quit and living off my savings now.
Fuck the system, it's bled me enough.

I tried to stop, but it was so boring. I have absolutely nothing to look forward to, nothing giving me joy, so everything just seems absurd and meaningless when sober. But I realize it's fake pleasure, and short-lived at that, so long-term.. only ctb makes sense. SN will be the last drink, or if possible, N from Peru if I can save the money to travel.

I'm a big rum fan too. I love spiced rum. I have a rum and coke before bed every night now. It's still bellow the weekly advised limits so- what the hell?
