  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I think it's the culture and society, and the way disabled, poor and ill people are treated, that all contribute to my intention to die. From what I've read though, these issues are not limited to or unique to my country

I think I would be even more fucked in most other countries. I just wish we had higher welfare for disabled people. Otherwise I am glad to live in this country. We just need to implement assisted suicide soon.

Not directly, but I really hate the country from a young age. I don't even like our language. Our education system is strict, stringent, full of corruptions. The pressure put on students is very high. We are one of the few left communist countries on Earth. Criticizing the government is still a taboo and can land you in jail.

Recently, the situation has gotten better due to us participating in the global economy, affections from various cultures like Western, Hallyu, Weaboo, ... We have become more opened and "democratic". The government has been very good in the COVID-19 situation.

No, I'm very thankful I live in U.S. Although it is far far from perfect I know there are way worse places I could be. I think if your suicidal you will be suicidal wherever you are.

The whole world makes me suicidal if I'm being entirely honest. Wherever there are people, there are problems.

I think if I lived somewhere other than England, I would be just as suicidal. It wouldn't change anything really. For me the problem is life itself and nothing would make me feel differently. It does frustrate me how there is no right to die and I do not like the area in which I live in.

Ever since I was a child I've wanted to live in a developed country. So, the fact that I'll never be able to makes me suicidal. It's not the only reason why I'm CTB but it's a major one.

My country is behind four walls and shut doors, drawed curtains and dim lightning. And yes, it makes me suicidal.

I am not sure but I sure suspect that the country I live in contributes to my depression. I live in the U.S.A. and concur with a lot of the opinions expressed here. The country is filled with hateful people. They don't understand how to look at things from other peoples perspectives. Bullying is widespread whether by adult or child. There is a facade of friendliness that you have to be stupid to believe in.

I'm not sure. I live in one of the best countries in the world but it still has many problems. I know I should be grateful and I am, because things could be much worse. But as a disabled person I am near the bottom of the pecking order in my county. I don't feel that my prospects are good and I'm marginalised. I have to deal with a welfare system that is designed to oppress. So I get money but it's not enough to live a good life. Things are extremely expensive here now.

Living in the section of my country (west-central Alabama in the USA) certainly contributes to my misery. The relatively cheap cost of living is about the only positive.
