After a huge mental effort, I've reached the conclusion that any country has its.pros and cons, so this isn't restrictive and even if you live in Norway or Denmark, the cold there might make you suicidal.

In my case, my country makes me depressed because nobody gives a shit about other people, there's no respect, politeness, stomping on people's head is kind of a virtue, you're seen as a winner and you can take pride in it, not everyone will agree with that of course but it's kind of a cultural thing. Well there are lot of things... @WornOutLife might help.me.here ;)

So, do.you think your country makes you ill? Do you think you'd get better if you moved somewhere else? Has anyone moved abroad and noticed a difference for good or.bad?

Obvio, es una gaver Argentina.

Seriously, every country has some issues but I just hope we don't end up as Venezuela.
I remember those days on which I wanted to ctb due to politics. Now, I don't give a damn.

Edit: You've basically described our situation perfectly. I would only add that inflation is chaos! Money is never enough.

Definitively yes, Chile is the quintessential example of the horrific effects of capitalism gone very very wrong.

In this country if you get cancer the difference between living and dying is how much you can pay, if you are depressed your only chance is pay 80 dollars to a private psychiatrist (the public healthcare is absolutely pathetic)

I dont think any country is any different here in this world. Argentina is still owned by Spain is it not? We know Spain is evil and has veen for a long time. Spain owns most of that continent including Mexico and central America. There is not one country in this world that has made an effort to be a utopia. Not one. All of our lives revolve around the "state" or the "crown" or religion and the banks. These things have destroyed every land here in this world. All of these groups are nothing more than lies upon lies. We dont have control over any part of our lives here. We dont own our food or our spirituality or our freedoms as people. They cant allow any country to become a utopia by the people in that land because the rest of the game would fall apart. Religion says god loves us and to be good yet every religious country is at war or allows wars that kill our brothers and children. The bank owns everything and causes debt in every country on purpose. The crowns have never cared about the people because if they did they would make life here better but to keep control they must keep us in misery. In the last 1000 year's the World has only become worse. It doesnt matter the country. The group's who have us in the grip of suffering and control have taught us to hate each other and think of each other as enemies. The sad part is that we learned all to well to treat each other this way even though a child could tell you how senseless that is. This is what my studies have shown me anyway. Most people dont want to see it, but how free are we?

The only thing evil needs to succeed is for good people to do nothing.

Bankers and heads of religion have spoken out about these things after being on the inside. This evil is done on purpose. Your fellow countrymen have been taught to hate each other just like every other country. This way we dont turn on the true evil. We are too busy fighting each other.

In fact one of the men I have learned from is from Argentina. There are many good men and women there who are trying to stand up to the evil and problems you mention. Sadly nobody listens just like the US and everywhere else.

Since the country is heavily in debt, you could say it is "owned" by foreign interests, but I don't think Spain has anything to do with it.
Your thoughts about fighting each other as a way for interested parties to control us, totally makes sense. Divide and reign, the saying goes... some people say it was Machiavelli. It is yet not clear to me if those people are outsiders, like foreign countries, or our own politicians

USA. People say it's a first world country, but that's not what it feels like. Everything is about money here. Money is our God here in USA. Jesus is just something that people tell themselves to feel better about the sins they just committed. It's okay, they say"Jesus forgives me." They say. Tens of millions of people on welfare. Nearly a million homeless people. many working people struggle to pay rent while CEOs buy their 7th Mansion or Private Jet . Super high jail rates . Some of the most delusional people on Earth. Oh, and let's not forget the racism, mysogyny, ageism. USA always feels like it's about to break out in another civil war at any time. There are some things we do well here. But it seems like nearly half the population are conspiracy theorists. People protest when evolution is taught in schools. Yea. This country is insane.

No, I don't think that it does, beyond the annual bout of seasonal affective disorder that comes every winter when the sun sets by 16h00. I will not say which country I live in outright, but I think that anyone who lives where I do will be able to pick up on the little quintessential realities. There is a certain smugness that seems to be baked into the culture that I don't really care for -- especially when you consider that the points of pride are just these watered down versions of things that are done much better elsewhere. The cost of living can be quite high and for the most part, the salaries don't reflect that reality (even for professions for which you are expected to invest much of your twenties studying for). For all of my complaints, I am grateful to live in the country that I do and I know that there are people from all around the world who would literally sacrifice their hands for a chance of becoming a citizen.

Although I don't really feel comfortable with certain aspects of the culture and the whole political landscape, when I still planned on living, I was hoping to work in the USA after completing my education. I would be sacrificing a healthy work-life balance but my earning potential would be far greater than if I were to pursue a career in my own country. I do acknowledge that my experiences of the USA have been mostly positive because I am afforded a number of privileges.

tl;dr: My first world country doesn't make me suicidal. I prefer the quality of life and the safety nets of my own country, but America sings a seductive tune with those dollars.

I'm living in Turkey. Our economic problems and bad politicians making me suicidal. I have anxiety for future. Even if I graduate from the best university in country, I'm probably gonna be unemployed. Also taking a hoby really hard in here because our currency losing value and there is too much tax for imported products. I wish I was born is somewhere else.

Depends on the choice of education, no? Philosophers are at a higher risk of unemployment than engineers and so on.

I'm in the USA, and yes, this place contributes to my suicidality. There are quite a lot of reasons why, but I'll just simplify it by saying that this country lionizes sociopaths. It's considered a virtue to care only about yourself. It's also normal to be a bigot here. Even people who are part of one oppressed group think nothing of turning around and being cruel to someone even more marginalized than themselves. The vast majority of Americans are suffering from the actions of their neighbors, and the usual reaction is to become even meaner. Living here is like living in a swarm of pit vipers.

I'd leave, but I'm broke and disabled, and other countries don't want to take people like that.

No, but my state within my country often does. I know I'd probably be edgy and contrarian no matter where I live but I guess it wouldn't bother me so much if I had grown up in like a red state and became contrarian to them instead. At least if I was contrarian against conservatives, I'd be able to fit in with the rest of the internet communities I'm in and with the media. Because I live in Commiefornia, my bullshit hipsterism makes me look at the rest of America fondly and I hate how I can't fit in here as a result of that.

I know that many will say that my country has good things, but that is because you do not know Spain well. In Spain, we saw because we have the economic support of the rich countries of Europe, quite forced support, because, if Spain falls, the chain of defaults, crisis and euro skepticism would increase as happened with Greece in 2015. Spain is a country that has put the European aid debt first in the interest of its citizens. He wrote it in the constitution on a Saturday and without warning. Spain is a country where poverty hides because of that pride of belonging to a social class to which it does not belong. Spain owes 135% of its Gross Domestic Product. Spain is the country of job insecurity, miserable wages and youth poverty. But it is not seen why there are usually strong family ties here and there is always someone to help. It is a puppet country of international interests, it does not have autonomy, it sucks. But it was always like this. Perhaps the golden age of capitalism (from the 1960s to the 2000s) the prospects were better, but not now. Forgive me if you read any Spanish to me, but for me it is unbearable. Here there is no democracy or freedom. It is a falsehood. I suppose there will be worse countries. A friend from Mexico tells me that here at least there are no crime problems as serious as there, it is true, but this is a country that ends up getting tired. There are foreigners who live here and they say that it is the best because of the climate and the food. I suppose the comparison would be as if I lived in Switzerland, Denmark or some Nordic country. I look at them with envy. Holland too. But hey, if someone really wants to arrange Spain to read about its economy.

Anyway, my friend, Spain does not have anything in South America, maybe some Spanish companies but nothing else. Argentina is the reflection of Spain if Spain were not supported by Northern Europe. I don't know if you remember how they called us to the poor countries of Europe: PIGS = Portugal, Italy, Greece and Spain. If Europe let us down, we would probably be the same as Argentina. Do not hesitate

England don't think so. Mental health care is a joke but as you can see on this forum it is most places. I hate the heat so things like the weather that might make some people miserable actually make me happy, apart from those two weeks a year when it is too hot and I got an air conditioner installed for that. I'd say there are far worse places to live and first worlders have it a lot easier than most people.

America as a whole has gone off the rails and it's very tiresome. Georgia's demographic shift has left former 'minorities' with a substantial grudge for what happened hundreds of years ago in charge, or at least vying for the top positions in the state. Thus leading to corruption, socialist ideology that bleeds people who've worked for what they have, 'woke' culture, and general discontent. It's hard to see what the 'majority' built and worked so hard for being destroyed.
