Help Does putting estrogen gel on a cut/wound reduce how well its absorbed?

Asking here cus like most places arent cool with SH but yeah i SH on my thighs and i also apply my estrogen there so i was wondering is there a risk of like reducing how well its absorbed? or is the only worry just the sting?

I would assume it won't lessen your estrogen absorption as you putting it directly into your blood, maybe it would quicken the absorption. I imagine there are probably negative effects from doing it too much tho.

I would recommend contacting your PCP about it. You could always say the cuts have a different origin if you are not comfortable disclosing the cause. If you absolutely have to both self harm and place the gel on the same spot, please clean your wounds and hands with soap and water immediately prior to dispensing the gel. But again, I would not recommend it out of an abundance of caution.

im ngl i kinda dont care about cleaning them (infact lowkey i kinda hope they get infected and i die from that)
all i care about is if it effects absorbing or not

I completely feel you with somewhat hoping something kills you, I've been there before, but infection is not how you want to go. You could easily experience sepsis and require amputation of the infected limb. Actual infections SUCK. It's miserable, and I would really hate to hear you're suffering more.
